About Chris Nixon
Sarah's Cottage was purchased from the legacy of Sarah Nixon who tragically passed away at only 38 years old, only two months after giving birth to her third child, Poppy. Sarah also left behind her son Oliver (5), other daughter, Sophia (3) and husband, Chris.
Sarah was a truly inspirational lady and her untimely death was widely reported in regional press and national magazines.
Chris wanted to invest Sarah's modest estate for her children and after considering other investments, came across a beautiful Lakeland cottage with stunning gardens stretching down to the River Eamont at Pooley Bridge.
The cottage is available for rent for selected periods throughout the year.

Why Chris Nixon chose Pooley Bridge
Sarah and Chris often visited the Lake District, especially when the children came along and many good memories were made there over the years.
Upon stumbling across this unique cottage by chance, Chris could see the potential to create a beautiful holiday home where he and the children could escape to many weekends. If Sarah was still alive, she would have loved this place and it just felt so right to rename the cottage to Sarah's Cottage after renovating it. Sarah's legacy will enable her children, family and friends to enjoy many happy holidays there. The cottage is also available to rent for selected periods of the year with the proceeds being invested for Sarah's children.
From time to time, the cottage will also be raffled and auctioned in aid of Cancer Research UK. Within three months of renovating the cottage, over £3,000 has been raised for charities.
