A large, bright and airy Penthouse apartment with own entrance one floor up from the pathway. Located in Aldea Blanca and set in beautiful award winning mature tropical gardens with four swimming pools, This apartment is suitable for those who are seeking spacious, comfortable, quality accommodation with mod cons, WIFI and International TV channels - UK BBC 1 - 4, ITV 1 - 4, Channel 4, E4 More 4, Sky Sport 1, Irish, Norwegian, Swedish, German, French, Spanish. Spacious for couples, adult families of four, or two couples +/- two children so enough room for granny and grandad as well. Caretaker, 24 hour security, parking. Aldea Blanca is within five minutes easy walking distance of restaurants, cafes, supermarkets, shops, banks and the Saturday market in Centro Plaza. Only a 15 - 20 minute walk to Puerto Banus - designer shops, huge department store, marina and the beach and golf courses (5) within a few minutes drive.South-west facing large open L shaped dining and sunbathing terrace, private and not overlooked with sun blinds for shade, accessible via French doors from the living room, dining room and master bedroom. Spacious living and dining areas with seating for 6, marble floors, WIFI internet, satellite TV, CD/DVD, , air conditioning/heating, wood burner. Integrated kitchen and separate utility with washing machine and Dryer.

The apartment is large, light and spacious. It spans the whole of the top floor with windows/doors on all four sides . Two large bedrooms with french doors. Two separate living areas with three sets of french doors opening onto the terrace, both with comfortable seating for six, two separate and linked terraces, two identical bathroom/ensuite with baths and separate showers and a kitchen with a separate utility. Spacious, flexible accommodation suitable for a couple seeking space and comfort, or adult families of 4, or two couples and two children so enough room for granny and grandad as well. Good spacious private accommodation, less expensive and more conveniently located than a villa. A chair bed and a travel cot are available for the 5th and 6th occupant..

Alternatively, if your dates are unavailable please call or email for details of another 2 bedroom/1 bathroom well appointed Penthouse apartment in the same location (Aldea Blanca). This alternative apartment is suitable for one couple +/- small children.

Self Catering - There are three supermarkets within walking distance. Directions for these supermarkets are provided with your booking information.

The nearest is the Opencor (open 8am-2am - almost 24hrs!, 365 days a year). It sells almost everything and those forgotten holiday items and It includes a bakery.

The Supersol at Centro Plaza has parking and it is larger. It contains a Butchers and it sells many British items including brown sauce and Heinz beans! It will deliver free if over 60 euro is spent or charge 3 euro if less is spent.

The Mercadona is larger again, it has a fresh fish counter and easy parking or will deliver. The Pharmacy is next door and it is also marked on the map. The kitchen in the apartment is user friendly and our friends and family have often cooked because it is such a pleasure to eat out on the terrace and watch the sun go down.

Eating out - There are many restaurants within walking distance so lots of drinking and no driving. Begin with breakfast and the newspaper at the cafes in Centro Plaza. Lunch at the Tapas bar 'Eldorado' just outside the garden on our side of the complex then in the evening 'Yanx' the American restaurant at Centro Plaza. It's easy to find and a good introduction until you get your bearings. Chinese, Indian, Swedish, German restaurants are all available in the immediate area. 'Reginas' next to the Andalucia Plaza Hotel for finer dining Italian style and live music on some evenings - great atmosphere. Terraza Carmen - walkable through the short cut shown on the map in the apartment - recommended by guests. The restaurants in the nearest Spanish town 'La Campana' (Italian, Indian, French, Spanish) are cheap and cheerful and good value especially the Menu del Dias at lunchtime. If you are a real foodie it's worth a trip to Benahavis to the 'gourmet village of the Costa del Sol'.

Puerto Banus: - El Corte Ingles department store open 10am till 10pm - air conditioned - handy for a hot or even a wet day. A selection of café/restaurant if you want to shop all day. Toys in the basement for the children. Hipercor Supermarket on the ground floor includes a Bakery and a Deli for fresh chilled meals, cold meats, ham and cheeses to take away. The Hipercor also sells many British and international food items. Attractions for the children in the lovely square outside. For those without a car, the taxi rank and the bus stop for the short bus ride back to the apartment are outside the front and side entrances, or they will deliver..

Try the Marbella walk from Puerto Banus east along the beach promenade. A long walk but many 'pit stop' opportunities on the way. Catch the boat or bus/taxi back. Try the San Pedro walk west along the new board walk beside the beach that links up to the San Pedro promenade shown in the photos. Directions for these walks are provided with your booking information.

“La Canada” - a large accessible indoor shopping/eating complex at the Marbella/Ojen junction - handy for a wet day - includes a large hypermarket, cafes, clothes, shoes, home etc.

Sightseeing - Places of Interest - Tourist attractions, Information leaflets for these are in the apartment and there are more in the Property Manager's office, Also, see the 'Guest Book' for tips from previous guests.

Wonderful holiday apartment

This apartment has everything you need to make your holiday perfect: A great location with a fantastic view to the sea, close to restaurants, fantastic golf courses and the harbour. It is a quiet and secure neighbourhood without being boring :-) The apartment is really a home away from home with lovely decorations, a great terrace, good size bedrooms/bathrooms, a cosy living room, and a well-functioning kitchen. Kerry is extremely service-minded and answers instantly to any requests. We loved every minute and have already booked our second visit to the apartment.

Owner's Response: This family stayed for their first time this year (2014) and it's great that they will be returning next year. Lovely apartment with superb outside terrace

This apartment is superb. Lovely and spacious ,very clean and everything you need. It has a lovely, spacious, west facing L shape terrace for dining, bar b q and sunbathing. The bed in the main bedroom is very comfortable and large. Two great size bathrooms with bath and corner showers in both. Walking distance to plenty of eateries. If you're feeling like a good walk, you can even walk down to Puerto Banus going under the underpass walkway found just inside the grounds of the casino and goes under the main road. We regularly holiday in one of Kerry Mumfords properties as you can always guarantee a great apartment.

Beautiful apartment

This was our second 5 week stay at this apartment. There is a good reason why this apartment receives so many 5 star ratings. It is not a typical rental with only the basic facilities. Kerry has put a lot of work and love into making it as comfortable as possible with lots of little extra touches.

Also worth mentioning is the excellent on-site management by Alex and his mother Pilar to see that everything goes smoothly should any problem arise, and beyond. When taking walks at night, we often encountered the security guard doing rounds. We felt very safe.

Beautiful Apartment and Villa

My wife and I spent September in Andalucia province and rented Kerry's apartment for the duration. The apartment exceeded even the wonderful description provided in Home Away. The apartment was very spacious, clean and bright, with terrace doors and windows easily opening to provide a breeze from the nearby Mediterranean. As described, one could relax on either terrace with a south facing view of the ocean or another facing north and the mountains. Every amenity was provided. My wife was amazed at how the kitchen and dining area had every utensil and dish one could ever need. As mentioned, the apartment is bright and well kept. The resort itself is a wonderful get away and has three pools. It is a secure resort with 24/7 monitoring by security personnel. And the Spanish people could not have been friendlier. All e-mails to Kerry were promptly answered and she provided many helpful details to enhance what was a wonderful vacation. Would recommend to anyone without hesitation! And do try the "Top Thai" restaurant at Centro Plaza. Delicious!

Everything it says in the Advert - And some!

If you want clean, spacious, well furnished accommodation, provided by an owner who understands perfectly how to cater for your holiday, then book this apartment.

Located right at the entrance to the development, and with complete privacy its a cracker.

I read every review on this property before booking, and remember thinking how many 5 star reviews can a property have!! Well here is another!

And make sure you try the little Tapas restaurant just down from the apartment. It does not look much but it has tradition and great value for money.

Aldea Blanca - is centrally located in a sought after area for all tastes, from glitzy and glam to peace and seclusion and of course the golf.

Puerto Banus and Marbella - offer El Corte Ingles, the Harrods of the Costa, designer shops, jet set marina, nightlife until dawn and much more.

San Pedro - for the new long promenade, beach and play areas for small children and beach restaurants for the best of local fresh fish. Also, a more Spanish feel when having coffee in the pavement cafes up in the town and visiting the weekly 'local' market on Thursday. Accessible by bus from Centro Plaza close to the apartment which goes via La Campana and not the busy coast road.

Benahavis - the gourmet village of the Costa del Sol, up in the mountains, so beautiful scenery as well. Los Abanicos is a favourite restaurant.

Gibraltar - an easy drive and worth a visit if only for the duty free and Morrisons.

Sierra Nevada - 2 hours by car and worth a look should you want to return for winter sun and ski

Golf: Aldea Blanca is in the golf valley leading up from Puerto Banus and is also convenient for the wives/ladies who don't play golf to go shopping in Puerto Banus - walkable or a €1.18 bus or €6 taxi ride. The following courses are a short drive away - Aloha, Los Naranjos, La Quinta, Las Brisas, or a longer drive for a special treat at Valderrama. Further information and a map of the courses is in the apartment.

Ski: - For winter sun/ski a 2 hour drive to Sierra Nevada. Watch the temperature gauge in the car go from 20 degrees to -2 degrees in 2 hours. The journey is just about manageable for a day out to have a look or a trial run. About 1½ hrs to the outskirts of Granada on the motorway then about ½hr to drive up the mountain

The TV STILL receives the main UKTV channels 1-4; CBeebies, CBBC and other International channels - Irish, Norwegian, Swedish, German, French, Spanish so no need for the ladies to miss the soaps. The community (cable) channels include Sky Sport 1, so something for the chaps as well! Free WIFI Internet link IN THE APARTMENT and at Aldea Blanca Community Office/Garden and the Tapas Bar, Internet café at the Pyr Hotel. The apartment was built to a high spec. It spans the entire top floor of an Andalusian style casa so it has windows on all four sides including six sets of French doors, four of them opening out onto the large L shaped terrace.(34 m2). This apartment is on the edge of the community, it has it's own entrance door and the terrace isn't overlooked so it's very private. The apartment is comfortable, conveniently located and suitable for all year round occupancy.
