About Anne

I grew up in this area and although I have lived in Malaysia for over twenty years, this beautiful place will always be home to me. The scenery never fails to take my breath away each time I return. Please feel free to contact me for first hand information.

Anne purchased this apartment in 2010

Why Anne chose County Down

I wanted a home to come back to with my husband and two children where they could appreciate the charm and beauty of the area where I grew up. In this I succeeded!

What makes this apartment unique

Lovely shores set against the beautiful backdrop of the Mourne Mountains. In the words of the famous song, It truly is, 'where the mountains of Mourne sweep down to the sea'

Excellent accommodation, beautiful location.

Stayed here whilst attending a friends wedding in Warrenpoint which is just a short distance from rostrevor. The accommodation was perfect for 4 of us, very clean and beautiful views of the sea. The local park is just minutes walk away and has excellent facilities for walking, mountain biking or just a stroll. We could walk to the local shops in just 2 minutes and there are a number of public houses here too. We had a great stay. The appartment was perfect for us and the owners were very easy to deal with. I would definitely recommend this accommodation for any stay. We will be returning in the summer.

Good location, very cosy, and modern.

When I first read the listing description I thought it was too good to be true- fully furnished, incredible view, etc. Once I actually got there, I found the description to be quite precise, and I was very happy with this choice.

The apartment has a very homey feel to it, and it is quite evident that the owner had initially built it for their own family. Everything is very well-maintained and modern, and in general the place is nicely put together with matching furniture. One of the highlights of this place is definitely the picturesque view of the lough and Carlingford on the other side.

I was very pleased with the owner. She was very attentive and friendly, which made the whole experience even better. I would definitely recommend this to my friends, and would certainly stay again next time I go there.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your generous praise Kotone. Glad you enjoyed your stay and found everything to your liking. As you said it was initially designed as our own holiday home so everything is to our personal taste.
We would love to welcome you back in the future.

Kind regards
Anne

Rostrevor is an extremely picturesque village, nestled in the foothills of the Mourne mountains, overlooking beautiful Carlingford lough. The village and the surrounding district has been named as an area of 'outstanding natural beauty'. As well as enjoying the stunning scenery, guests can avail of many outdoor activities within a ten mile radius. One of the top destinations worldwide for mountain biking, visitors can also participate in golfing, sailing, horse riding, walking, hiking, fishing, wind surfing and mountain climbing. A scenic, 40 minute drive to the quaint, historic village of Carlingford in Southern Ireland, is a must for those who enjoy fresh sea food, especially oysters. Served in a traditional Irish pub, or, for visitors who prefer fine dining, the village has a variety of good restaurants. In 2013, Rostrevor was firmly placed on the map when Dame Judi Dench became a familiar face in the village during filming of the oscar-nominated movie 'Philomena'. The American TV series, 'Game of Thrones' is also filmed in Northern Ireland. Each year during the last week of July, Rostrevor is filled with the melodious sounds of traditional Irish Music. People travel from all over the world attend the international 'fiddler's green Festival' The numerous pubs are spilling over with people of all ages enjoying the wonderful atmosphere and great 'Craic'
