About Vicky Kirkland
Hello, we are a family of 4 who have been coming to Les Gets for years, we all learnt to ski in Les Gets! (the children are much better than us...) We love the village with all it has to offer for shopping and eating out, it has a great atmosphere and hosts some really great music festivals. We live in Scotland and whilst we have mountains and snow here we love skiing in Les Gets and have our best family holidays there. There is nothing better than sitting on a ski lift in the sun with your family...
Vicky Kirkland purchased this chalet in 2014
Why Vicky Kirkland chose Les Gets
We had been looking for a chalet for a while and were delighted when we were able to buy Chalet Les Mures. For us it has everything we want when we are on holiday, good sociable space downstairs, 3 good sized double bedrooms upstairs with separate toilet, shower and bathroom so everyone can get on with getting ready. The garage with internal stairway makes it so easy to leave skis, bikes etc and nip upstairs to the cosy chalet.
The terrace on two sides of the chalet plus the balconies upstairs means you can sit in the sun and enjoy the views and as the chalet isnt overlooked you get such a sense of tranquility.
We wanted to be able to park our car off the road and as the chalet is in a small cul de sac and we have parking next to the chalet it fits the bill. The bus stop is close by which is handy if travelling by airport transfer and you can walk to the piste which is great. The walk into town is easy and takes about 13 minutes! We like walking back after a night out but if you don't like walking up the Chavannes Road its easy to get a bus back or phone for a taxi.
What makes this chalet unique
The chalet is really comfortable and easy to relax in. It has a good range of books, CD's, DVD's, PlayStation games, board games plus a dock for the iPhone 5 and an aux for other phones. The WiFi is so useful and works throughout the chalet. There is underfloor heating and individual heaters as well. The Bosch oven is brand new as is the microwave and other gadgets. The dishwasher is so convenient and there are lots of glasses and crockery. If you want a day off activities the full sized table tennis table in the garage is great fun or you can just relax on the terrace!
All in all we think its a great place to have a great holiday...
