Three Bedroom, Two Bathroom With Canal Views
Field House is a three bedroom holiday cottage, by the Grand Union Canal, in the pretty village of Marsworth, 2 miles to the market town of Tring, which offers leisure and shopping.
Tring Railway station has trains to London in forty minutes.
There are also plenty of activities in the area, including Whipsnade Zoo, Waddesdon Manor, Oxford and the Tring Zoological Museum, all within 30/40 minutes' drive.
Field House was built in 1961 and is a Colt House. The Queen has several Colt houses on her Sandringham estate and they are built of natural materials. The ground floor is brick built and the upper floor is timber, faced with cedar wood. It is a warm and comfortable house and we hope you will enjoy its particular atmosphere and feel at home there.
The property is laid out over two floors, with sitting room, bedrooms and two bathrooms on the first floor, and kitchen/dining room, utility and garden room, coats cupboard and toilet on the ground floor.
The kitchen/dining room has a dining table with seating for five, as well as a well-equipped preparation area. There is a full size dishwasher, microwave, double electric oven, electric hob and fridge/freezer. The utility room has a washing machine and tumble dryer.
The garden room has a large sofa, chest of drawers, garden chairs and cushions and access to the garden and patio area. As you go up the spiral staircase, you arrive at the first floor sitting room with doors to a balcony. Both have lovely views over the canal and garden below. There are two double sofas and an armchair, for your comfort, with flat screen TV and DVD player for your entertainment. There is also an electric fire, which gives off a warm glow on winter evenings.
The three bedrooms are made up of a double, a twin and a single bed, with an extra cot if required. Bedroom one has a four foot six double bed, chest of drawers and wardrobe. Bedroom two has three foot twin beds, drawers and wardrobe and bedroom three has a single bed and a cot, with wardrobe and chest of drawers.
There is one shower room, with shower cubicle, and one bathroom, with corner bath and shower over. Both have heated towel rails, toilet and basin.
Heating is by electric storage heaters and an electricity allowance of £20 per week is included in the rental, which should be plenty to keep the property warm, with sensible usage.
Outside there is a large enclosed garden which faces onto the canal, although the driveway is un-gated. There is also a patio area next to the house with garden furniture. There is space for two cars to park in front of the property. The driveway down to this parking is un-gated.
