Holyrood Park Apartment is a modern, well appointed two bedroom flat, newly equipped for visitors in December 2013. It is situated in a quiet cul-de-sac, on the ground floor of a well maintained building with a secure entry system, clean and tidy communal areas and parking (via permit). A cycle rack is available just outside the apartment.

The light and airy carpeted lounge has ample seating on leather sofas, one of which is a sofa bed. The lounge also includes a dining table and chairs. A flat screen TV with Freeview is installed together with a DVD player. The modern, fully equipped kitchen includes an induction hob, double oven, fridge/freezer, washing machine and microwave together with ample good quality cookware, crockery, cutlery, glassware and bakeware. A toaster, kettle, teapot and cafetiere are also provided. Hand and dish towels, pot scrubbers and dishcloths are also provided in the kitchen together with detergent and cleaning fluids.

Both double bedrooms are carpeted. One has a double bed and the other two singles complete with duvets, pillows, mattress and pillow protectors. Bed linen is provided. Sufficient storage and clothes hanging space is included in the wardrobes. The bathroom contains a bath and over bath shower with curtain. Ample bath and hand towels are provided. An iron and ironing board, clothes airer and hair dryer are supplied. Broadband is installed in the property. A welcome pack with supplies to get your holiday started is included.

Mandy studied in Edinburgh 30 years ago and always loved this part of the city. We have been coming here as a family at least once a year for a holiday and knew we wanted to have somewhere permanent in the city which we could share with others.

The apartment is very centrally situated close to the Royal Mile, Holyrood Palace and the Scottish Parliament. There is free parking in a designated parking zone using the permit provided. Despite its central location the apartment is wonderfully quiet and peaceful and its location right on the edge of Holyrood Park opens up a range of excellent walking, cycling, running and hiking activities should you be so inclined.

Ideal flat and location for touring Edinburgh

Excellent base for touring Edinburgh during the Fringe Festival and Tattoo. All theatres less than a mile.

Flat itself was larger than I expected and had all the basic utilities you would require. Location is a very short walk from Holyrood Park, which for the energetic is probably the best place ever to go for a run in a capital city anywhere!

Excellent friendly communication from James and Mandy which ensured our stay went without a hitch. Very flexible to allow us to enter the flat a few hours early which was good news after a long drive...parking of course was worth its weight in gold!!

All in all a perfect place to visit Edinburgh.

Lovely apartment in a great location

We had a lovely stay in this apartment near the city center. The owner provided excellent details and help about our stay. The beds and pillows were very comfy and provided a good night's sleep after each day of walking the city. The apartment is within walking distance of many sights including Edinburgh Castle, and less than five minutes walk from a food market where we found the staff to be exceptionally friendly. We'd stay there again the next time we visit Edinburgh! Great experience!

Great location. Would stay here again!

We had a wonderful long weekend in Edinburgh. We stayed at Holyrood apartment for 3 nights with our 2 teenage sons. The apartment is in a fabulous location, easy walkable to the city centre (about 15 mins) whilst being just far enough out to escape the hussle and bussle. It is easy to get to and we had no concerns letting our boys go exploring the city/park on their own.
The apartment is really nice. Clean and well presented with everything you could need. The beds are very comfy!
Only negative is the view out of the apartment windows which look out on the communal lawn on the internal of the block. This didn't matter to us however, as we were too busy looking round the beautiful city that is Edinburgh.
James and Mandy were really helpful through out our stay from booking to departure which was really nice. Thank you James and Mandy!

A centrally located well appointed apartment

This apartment had everything we needed, all in beautiful condition. It was surprisingly quiet despite being so near the railway. Fantastic to park without anxiety.
We were delighted to be able to run in Holyrood Park very easily and to walk straight into central Edinburgh.
The owner responded rapidly to all e-mails & questions & returned our deposit very promptly.
