Holyrood Park Apartment is a modern, well appointed two bedroom flat, newly equipped for visitors in December 2013. It is situated in a quiet cul-de-sac, on the ground floor of a well maintained building with a secure entry system, clean and tidy communal areas and parking (via permit). A cycle rack is available just outside the apartment.

The light and airy carpeted lounge has ample seating on leather sofas, one of which is a sofa bed. The lounge also includes a dining table and chairs. A flat screen TV with Freeview is installed together with a DVD player. The modern, fully equipped kitchen includes an induction hob, double oven, fridge/freezer, washing machine and microwave together with ample good quality cookware, crockery, cutlery, glassware and bakeware. A toaster, kettle, teapot and cafetiere are also provided. Hand and dish towels, pot scrubbers and dishcloths are also provided in the kitchen together with detergent and cleaning fluids.

Both double bedrooms are carpeted. One has a double bed and the other two singles complete with duvets, pillows, mattress and pillow protectors. Bed linen is provided. Sufficient storage and clothes hanging space is included in the wardrobes. The bathroom contains a bath and over bath shower with curtain. Ample bath and hand towels are provided. An iron and ironing board, clothes airer and hair dryer are supplied. Broadband is installed in the property. A welcome pack with supplies to get your holiday started is included.

Mandy studied in Edinburgh 30 years ago and always loved this part of the city. We have been coming here as a family at least once a year for a holiday and knew we wanted to have somewhere permanent in the city which we could share with others.

The apartment is very centrally situated close to the Royal Mile, Holyrood Palace and the Scottish Parliament. There is free parking in a designated parking zone using the permit provided. Despite its central location the apartment is wonderfully quiet and peaceful and its location right on the edge of Holyrood Park opens up a range of excellent walking, cycling, running and hiking activities should you be so inclined.

Flat was as described and very clean. Had everything the 4 of us needed. Quiet area but restaurants and shops within walking distance. Would rent again. Directions to get to flat need to be a bit more clearer for out of country folks!

Clean, comfortable, excellent location!

This apartment was a great base for our stay in Edinburgh with our two young children. An easy walk to the Royal Mile, and a short drive to a shopping center with a grocery store, the location is ideal, and the free onsite parking a rare bonus! Well appointed, we found everything we needed for a comfortable stay, and even a few nice extras, like DVDs and games to entertain the kids. We would definitely stay here again, and recommend it to others!

Well-appointed, comfortable, clean: great value!

We were in Edinburgh for work and as my companion is a dancer, he needed somewhere where he could relax and get a good night's sleep. We arrived quite late in the evening and it was good to find that the flat was warm, spacious and attractive, with everything we needed. The beds were comfortable, the area was peaceful and we slept well every night. It was important to us both to have wifi, and this worked very efficiently, as did everything in the flat.

One great advantage for us both was that the flat was within walking distance of the Royal Mile and the town centre, and we walked into town and back every day. We really enjoyed our stay in Edinburgh and will definitely try to book the flat again if we return.

comfortable apartment, easy location, great stay

Clean and comfortable apartment, just like the photos. Bedrooms nicely done, comfy bed too. We found there was space for our travel cot in either bedroom. We were a bit concerned about walking distance from city centre but were attracted by the easy parking which is unusual in Edinburgh. However, we found the location really good, and a pleasant brisk 15 min walk or 20 min amble up the attractive canongate route, which we did each day with a pushchair or with our little one toddling along.

Externally, being a modern build, the apartment's not got the charm of the city centre tenements and the view from the windows isn't special, but this was no problem for us as there was plentky enough to look at during the day exploring the city, and the apartment was a comfortable place to return to. Very close to the dramatic holyrood park and just a stones thrown from the parliament and holyrood palace too.

I know the owners are shortly going to be refitting the bathroom, which will lift the decoration standard to match the furnishings of the bedrooms. The shower worked well though and we had no problems at all whilst staying at the apartment.

All in all a great find, a very pleasant stay. We found the owners very helpful in our communication and the deposit was returned promptly.

Would recommend to anyone coming to visit Edinburgh, especially for those to whom the parking convenience is high on the agenda.
