Storybook log cabin in Litchfield County now with hi speed internet

If looking for a quiet get-a-way, maybe a great place to escape, to slow down, to reconnect with yourself or others this place is it. Great for families or a few couples to spend time together. The cabin is very, very comfortable, has plenty of board games, air hockey, hot tub and pool table to keep you busy. If quiet time or conversing with a friend or family member is what your looking for the reading room will be your favorite. We were looking a quiet, small town area away from the fast pace of life. This was a amazing find and we look forward to many returns!! Christine is great. As this was our first VRBO rental we were unsure but she answered all our questions quickly. The pictures on website show you what they can but what they don't show is the roominess, cleanliness, and most importantly abundant character this cabin has. If you need that get-a-way don't hesitate, this is your place!!! You will not be disappointed. Enjoy!!

I was surprised by my two sons and daughter-in-law by being brought to this location to celebrate my 60th birthday. I always wanted to own a log cabin and my son searched around and found this gem. We arrived the night after a record breaking blizzard in CT. I was so surprised when we drove up the hill to this beautiful log cabin. When we walked in my son turned to me and said "The pictures on the website do not capture how beautiful this place really is.". I walked in and immediately said, "I can live here". The cabin was beautifully decorated and felt warm and cozy immediately. Everything that we needed was there except the food. The bedrooms were decorated just as one would imagine a log cabin would be.There are two bathrooms and plenty of room for adults and children.. It was clean and was taken care of very well. We enjoyed all the board games that were provided as well as the air hockey game and pool table. We enjoyed the hot tub very much during this cold weather. We had no trouble getting up the hill in the winter as it was plowed so well that there was no danger getting stuck. The owners and caretakers were very helpful by responding quickly to our needs. We only stayed 2 nights but enjoyed just hanging out around the fire. Sitting by the fire, we dreamed of other reasons to return. the surroundings were so quiet and peaceful. I would definitely return in any season. I will remember this log cabin for years to come for the beautiful place I celebrated my 60th birthday but I can guarantee whatever you are celebrating or your reason to visit this log cabin, you won't be disappointed. I will return without a doubt and I am sure my family will be right behind me jumping into the car for another adventure in this beautiful log cabin.

After a 2-yr break, returned to Colebrook cabin for another December weekend getaway with friends, this time for New Year's Eve. The skiing was near, the powder was magical, and the cabin was still in perfect, charming condition for an ambient holiday away from it all...with bluetooth connectivity TV to iPad :) Cannot say enough for the CHARMING ATMOSPHERE of this cozy yet spacious home! Will return again!
