My husband Brian and myself moved to Fuengirola after having enjoyed many holidays here in the private apartments of the Las Palmeras complex. We started our Property Management/ Renovations & Sales business in early 2003 and have gone from strength to strength over the years. We offer high quality accommodation at an affordable price. Fuengirola is a city, but chances are you will only visit the centre and beach front and it is possible to walk everywhere. The suburban train is excellent for getting up the coast as is the bus service. Both stations are in the centre of the city, 5 minutes walk from the marina. You can get the train from Malaga airport directly into Fuengirola centre for approx €4 per person and takes about 35 minutes. The Hotel Las Palmeras and PYR aparthotel are only 5 or 6 minutes walk away in the Marina direction.

At eight kilometres, Fuengirola has the longest seafront promenade in Spain, ideal for a nice walk at sunset. Decorated with palm trees, flowers and benches. You can walk to the Marina (in front of the Hotel Las Palmeras****). You will find many leisure boats and enormous yachts. Lots of restaurants to choose from at very competitve prices overlooking the Marina.

If you wish to see what the Fuengirola market has to offer then you can head for the Los Boliches fairground on a Tuesday or a Saturday morning. On Sundays there is a market near the mosque, a short walk from the Hotel Las Palmeras.

A few blocks from the resort centre is the Fuengirola Zoo which is one of the most modern in Europe. The Tivoli World amusement park in neighbouring Benalmadena will keep children occupied for many hours as it closes daily in the summer months at two in the morning.

The Aquapark is open May- September approx and is only a short bus trip from the centre of Fuengirla in nearby Mijas. Or take a taxi for about €10.

The Parque Miramar Shopping and Leisure Centre is one of the largest shopping centres on the Costa del Sol and is home to all the Spanish high street stores such as Zara, Springfield, Massimo Dutti, Mango, Primark as well as C& A and H&M, as well as multi cinema screens, bars, restaurants and free parking.
