Photos and Description of this 2 bedroom holiday apartment in South Bank and Southwark - Southwark Bridge Road II
2 Bedroom, 1 Bathroom Home Just A Short Walk From Borough Market
Oh, but this is a happy home. Awash with primary colours, there’s a tremendously joyful feel to the minimalist design and the merry art. Look out the window to see the Shard, walk for just a few minutes and you’ll come upon the river, and this flat’s spiritual forefather, Tate Modern. Foodies can spend gluttonous hours grazing their way around Borough Market, and for those who prefer to dine out, there’s a positive plethora of neighbourhood restaurants. With ancient London spanning the river, the only ache you’ll experience will be in your tired, contented legs.
Your hosts are dentists, she’s Irish and he’s from South Africa. They love to cook, and are regulars at nearby Borough Market. As far as you can imagine from cold-hearted clinicians, this charming pair are just nuts about their gorgeous little dog.
This home is something of a playground for grownups- the multi-coloured dining chairs, the jazzy sitting room, the vibrant art (painted by your host’s mother). The look is welcoming and contemporary, with a high-spec kitchen, large windows and an enormously comfy sofa. There are two bedrooms, a single and a neat double, and the enclosed balcony means you can enjoy the fresh air even as the rain patters down upon the unfortunate souls in the street below.

Why Owner / Property Manager chose South Bank and Southwark
Walk to the Thames to find one of London’s buzziest areas - Tate Modern, the bars and cafes of Clink Street and London Bridge and Southwark Cathedral all demand a visit. A little further and you’ll reach the eternally celebratory Southbank, where you can attend a performance at the National Theatre, thrill to the Imax cinema, or go for a spin on the London Eye. The tube from Borough to Oxford Circus takes a little over fifteen minutes.
