Wonderful

As has been said, the apartment is fantastic in a lovely spanish village. Loved sitting on the balcony at any time of day reading and watching the locals about their daily business eg. the horse handlers taking their horses up the hill in the morning and back down at night, listening to the music and feet stamping from the dance school. When walking to and from the centre of village you will pass the local women cleaning their doorstep and local men sitting on benches have a good old blether. The apartment is very quiet and we didn't hear any noise from other neightbours. Door to apartment was very stiff and we always worried that we were making too much noise as you had to close door with force but that is the only negative that we can think of. Would definately rent the apartment again if we were in the area again.

The apartment is simply beautiful with great standards and facilities. The views are wonderful and the village of Mijas one of the most charming in southern Spain. The owner Ian could not be more helpful, efficient and informative. The whole experience was effortless for us. We had one of the most relaxing short holidays in years. We will definitely be back and know exactly where we will be staying. Here! Thank you for making it all so special for us.

The apartment is in a lovely and quiet location on the edge of the village with far reaching views to the coast - but just a few minutes walk into the village square and all the amenities that Mijas has to offer.
The apartment is bright and clean and has a relaxed feel throughout with smart furnishings and artwork.
We particularly enjoyed walking around the botanical gardens at the top end of the village with fantastic views over the coast - both east and west.
In the evenings we either relaxed on the veranda with a glass of wine or walked up to the village where there is an excellent choice of restaurants or bars, our choice being the Mirlo Blanco in the Place de la Constitution which serves wonderful traditional Andalucian cuisine.
The apartment is an ideal place to relax and unwind and we will be going again next year. Thanks from all of us x

Great location

Property is in a great location with a 5-10 minutes uphill walk to the village squares and restaurants. The development has a relaxing rooftop deck and pool area. You need to leave this second floor apartment at ground level, walk up a short hill, unlock car par gates, walk through car park and climb more stairs to the roof level, so forgetting the sun cream can be frustrating!

The apartment is spacious, light and airy. The main bedroom is a good size and the smaller one was OK for our children. The balcony was a great outdoor space for breakfast and an evening glass of Rioja.

Communication with the owner was OK. I felt slightly nervous that I had to send email reminders for information about the apartment and to request the keys. It's been two months since we returned from the apartment and the one hundred pounds security deposit has not been returned, despite an email from the owner saying this would be sent on 4 September. Reminders to the owner remain unanswered!

We had planned to book this apartment again but the non-return of the deposit has caused us to think again.

Owner's Response: A cheque was put in the post for £100 to the holidaymaker the day the keys were returned, it didn't ever get to them and they didn't contact me until 2 months had gone by. The same day they informed me I put a replacement cheque in the post and they confirmed they had received it the very next day. In future I plan to refund the deposit by bank transfer.

About us: Party of two, stayed for a week. This was my first time returning to Mijas in 20 years. My partner had never been to Spain.

About the accommodations: The apartment is amazing. Large, extremely well equipped. Its located a minutes walk from the center of Mijas Pueblo. The terrace is very spacious and has a terrific view of Fuengirola, The Mediterranean Sea, and beyond. The price is a bargain for what is provided, and I should know, considering I'm an American whose dollar is worth about as much as a bucket of sand in Europe.

About Ian: Incredible. This was my first time using a vacation rental website, so I was very hesitant and nervous about the whole process and bombarded Ian with inquiry after inquiry in the months leading up to my stay. With each email, Ian responded quickly and handled every question and concern that I had with great patience.

I would highly recommend this rental property.

Ecellent apartment , excellent location

This apartment is exactly as described in the website. Location is very close to the centre of the village .Easy to park without the need to use the underground parking . Views of countryside and fuengirola are spectacular . I managed to see the funfair in Fuengirola from the apartment on one of the nights which propted a visit the following evening . Property is well maintained, excellent quality furnishings , spotlessly clean with all essentials needed . Good communication with the owner . We would definitely book again .

Mijas; 4 miles inland & 25 minutes drive from Malaga airport is know as 'White Mijas' because of the marble white colour of the Andelusian syle houses of the village. Situated at 1476 ft above sea level the village gives wonderful views to the sea. Golf, horse riding, bird watching and walking are amongst some of the most popular activities in the area. Once rested why not venture further afield & visit one of the wonderful cities and towns near by: Granada with its amazing Moorish Alhambra Palace: Malaga, the birth-place of Picasso and the site of the Picasso museum: Rhonda, high in the Serrania Rhonda mountains with its famous Roman bridge: Cordoba a world heritage site, home to the Alcazar built in 1328 and the Mosquita-Cathedral de Cordoba dating from the 8th century. Alternatively you might enjoy sipping “cocktails” in the harbour at Puerto Banus: the millionaire’s playground of the area. If you are feeling more adventurous why not visit Gibralta or North Africa for the day
