About this property

Beautiful lakeside log cabin for rent. It is fully equipped with cookware and linens. You just need to bring your clothes and food. It is only 40 feet from the water's edge of Bethea Lake, located in Suwannee County, Wellborn, Florida. Wildlife such as wild turkeys, various species of ducks and waterfowl, deer, and raccoons are frequent visitors.

Alligators and various species of fish such as bass, bluegill, specs, and catfish are found in the lake. It is a very peaceful and relaxing place to spend a long or short vacation. Great for bass fishermen, artists, and writers. Also a wonderful winter retreat from the snow. Snowbirds welcome.

There are many activities close by. Lake City, which has shopping and restaurants, is only 15 minutes away. Airports (Jacksonville-1 1/2 hours, Gainesville-1 hour, Lake City- 30 min.) Nearby colleges (University of Florida-1 hour, Santa Fe Community College- 45 min, Lake City Community College-30-35 min). Stephen Foster Memorial on the Suwannee River - 20 minutes. Various springs/rivers for diving/snorkeling/swimming/tubing - 30 minutes. St. Augustine is 1 1/2 hours. Gulf coast is 1 hour. Suwannee River Music Park is 20 minutes.

Private drive. Shared boat ramp with owner. You may bring your boat. Boat ramp will accommodate bass boat or pontoon boat. The lake has no public access.

A peace of heaven! Perfect romantic atmosphere. It was everything I imagined. Would do it again.

Loved it. Romantic atmosphere great view had fun fishing. Just like it is advertised. You won't be disappointed at all. Will try and go back again. Michael was great . texted everyday to see if all okay. Felt like 5 star hotel. Thank you.

Honest, professional & gracious

We were unable to visit due to the tropical storm heading directly to their area & when I called 2 days before the arrival date they offered a full refund! It is rare these days to find people so kind & considerate of the circumstances that were out of our control & not greedy & selfish in business! Many hotel locations in Florida will not give a full or partial refund due tropical weather. I am very touched at the kindness & will definitely be rescheduling to see this little bit of heaven as soon as possible!

Everything about this cabin is perfect, the scenery, location, owner’a hospitality. I enjoyed every second spent there. Is the perfect place to relax away from the city and the same time is close to restaurants and essential needs. We will definitely come back!

Amazing remote office view

Working out of town for a few weeks and did not want to be cooped up in a hotel room for that amount of time. What an amazing option this property was! Peaceful, beautiful and relaxing. The “office view” was incredible!
