About Rosie & Jerome Moreau
Franco-British couple Jerome and Rosie, welcome you to their family holiday home.
Rosie & Jerome Moreau purchased this cottage in 2005
Why Rosie & Jerome Moreau chose Saintes area
We love the fact that the house is in such a quiet spot. This really is the ideal place to get away from it all. No busy roads, crowds or parking problems!
The pretty nearby towns of St Savinien, St Porchaire and Saintes offer authentic markets, restaurants and cafés.
For a day at the seaside, there are vast sandy beaches on the Atlantic coast with bicycle and surf hire and delicious local oysters and mussels.
And if you're not simply relaxing by the pool, the village of Port d'Envaux, five minutes away, is the ideal spot to spend the day with a picnic and a good book by the river. Simple pleasures!
What makes this cottage unique
We bought this house as a ruin in 2005. Only two rooms had been occupied, the rest had been used as a barn and goat shed!
We have renovated it as our ideal family holiday home - letting in extra light with skylights and open plan rooms. We wanted a contemporary, relaxed atmosphere whilst respecting the original stone walls and oak beams.
We hope you will enjoy the natural character of the house!
