Sleeps 6. The Annexe is a 2 bedroom property attached to a Scottish Baronial House but completely independent from the main house. Set in private gardens on the edge of Lasswade village. The Master Bedroom has a Kingsize bed with en suite containing bath/walk in shower. A large wooden cot is also available. The 2nd Bedroom with double bed and walk in shower. A large comfortable living area with sofas including sofa bed, underfloor heating and a fully equipped kitchen with dining space.

The Annexe is a 2 bedroom property attached to a Scottish Baronial House in the heart of the Broomieknowe historic conservation area on the edge of the picturesque village of Lasswade. It is very hard to believe that it is just 6 miles to Edinburgh's city centre with a great Bus route it is a 5 min walk from the property to the Bus stop. There are excellent facilities in the area a wide range

of recreational and leisure facilities, as well as a number of golf courses including Kings Acre, Broomieknowe and the Melville Golf Centre.

The Pentland Hills offer a variety of picturesque walks and there is the Hillend dry ski slope. Lasswade is also well located for access to the City Bypass, with connections to Edinburgh Airport and the Central Scotland motorway network.

The owners were very helpful and provided good local information and the description of the property was clear and accurate. The property was very clean and well-maintained. Great bathrooms and well stocked kitchen. As well as the file about local services a file specific to the property would have been helpful. Especially we would like to have known who had the spare key so that we could have asked them to disable the house alarm when it was triggered as we came home when the 'housekeeper' was out. Also the property appeared to have a concealed music system which we weren't able to access so we had no music/radio. We thought an ipod doc in the kitchen or similar might be a good idea. The wifi, TV, and lighting were great. We did get the high tech coffee machine to work but had to use our computer on the wifi to find the full instructions. It would have been good to have some dining chairs in the main room at the large dining table, for cards or games which were also not provided. The location was good with easy access into Edinburgh and easy road access to Glasgow motorway. We would recommend this property, we particularly enjoyed the Forth Belle boat ride to Inchcolm Island, Queensferry and a trip to the zoo. Although just beyond teenagers our twin sons also found the property ideal for them.

The Annexe

This lovely property is within a beautiful secluded setting and quiet surroundings. The holiday home is furnished to a very high standard and the owners made us very welcome and have added their own personal touches, which is quite rare. Local shops and amenities are within a short walk. The bus stop for the short trip into Edinburgh is within easy reach, if you can tear yourself away. We will definitely be returning.
