This apartment has been completely refurbished in December 2013 and January 2014 and also boasts new furniture, equipment, linen etc throughout, own wifi signal, central heating and has a real touch of style.
With a huge private terrace of 40 m2 (about 430 ft square) there is room for all to sunbathe and dine whilst keeping an eye on the kids in the pool immediately below the terrace. The terrace faces across the Mijas Valley and the views are stunning. The terrace also has fully retractable overhead sun blinds which one can open or close in seconds depending on whether you want sun or shade at any time.
The lounge/diner has cream/lemon walls, black leather sofas for 6, super black and clear glass coffee table with chrome finishing, matching sideboard and TV table, extendible glass and chrome dining table with modern leatherette chairs.
In the period from May to October, the most important 'room' is almost certainly the terrace. Unlike most apartments, this one boasts a huge terrace of 40 m2, which is bigger than the lounge in fact, and will no doubt be where guests will spend most of their time. This terrace overlooks the community pool (approx 60m2) and gardens which have plenty of room for sunbathing. The pool is open from April to October each year. The private terrace has plenty of space for sunbathing (sun beds), dining and relaxing for all. Barbecue and all of the necessary furniture and equipment are provided.
The 3 bedrooms (2 doubles and one twin) are beautifully done and the two full bathrooms mean no queues or crowding. One double and the twin room face onto the huge private terrace and the other double faces onto the rear private terrace.
There are two full bathrooms each including full-sized baths with overhead showers and screens, bidet, WC and sink with bathroom cabinets and large mirrors. Both are fully tiled from floor to ceiling.
The kitchen is some 12 m2 with fridge-freezer, gas hob and oven, granite worktop, plenty of cupboards and is fully-equipped with dishwasher, washing machine, pots pans, cutlery, crockery, glasses etc, microwave, cafeteria etc.
There is no separate utility room. However, to the rear of the kitchen, there is a second private terrace of some 18 m2 very handy for drying washing, keeping beach and pool equipment etc.
The apartment is ideal for guests using wheelchairs or with mobility difficulties because from the street to the apartment is all on one level. The terrace however is some 5 metres (16 ft) above the community garden so there is no security issue.
The apartment is located within Fuengirola and is a walk to all of the town's amenities..aqua park, zoo, beach, shops, bars, restaurants, nightclubs, shopping mall, skateboard park, children's play park, port, 1200 year old Moorish castle.
Fuengirola is 20kms from Malaga (new port, Picasso museum, cathedral), 15 kms from Torremolinos (party town), 20 kms Marbella (old town, boutiques, golden mile), 10kms from Benalmadena (Tivoli World theme park, Cable car) and about 115kms from Gibraltar.
The changeover day each week in the period from May to September is Sunday. In the remainder of the year, the changeover day can be more flexible. Arrival time is 2pm (14.00 hours) and departure time by 10am (10.00 hours).

I have been advertising on this site since 2007 (ref s6575) and am a British Chartered Accountant and I came to live and work in Spain in 1998 after a long-ish career in corporate finance. On arriving in Spain, as a complete change of lifestyle, I opened a very successful French restaurant which I later sold very well. I then owned and ran a small, successful real estate office but closed it when the property market went quiet here in 2007. I earlier lived for 16 years in Belgium and speak French and an improving Spanish too.
I am a friendly and approachable guy and I want to make sure that my guests are happy with everything and, thankfully, I seem to succeed in that. I expect high standards when I go on holiday and I always assume that my guests expect the same from me.
I live just a few minutes away in the centre of Fuengirola.
I bought this property in December 2013 because it is superbly located so close to the beach, shops, bars, restaurants etc and yet is within a quiet, secure low-rise complex with super, well-maintained community pool and gardens. The size of the terrace is exceptional and provides space for everyone to relax, dine, sunbathe whilst enjoying the ability to oversee the kids at the pool below and enjoy the stunning views over the gardens and pool to the Mijas Valley and the mountains. Although there is also private underground parking, no car is necessary because all of that which one needs is within easy walking distance.
Tranquillity, location, amazing views, lots of private space inside and outside, privacy, wheelchair access, private secure parking, no noise from passers-by either on foot or by car, either in the daytime or the night-time, are all attributes that make this an exceptional property. The size and layout of the apartment with 107 m2 of accommodation plus 40 m2 of private terrace boasting two bathrooms and a good-sized kitchen show that it was clearly designed for permanent family living rather than just as a bolt hole for holidays. There are certainly other properties that can boast some of these attributes but only a few that can boast all of them.
