Opomar 38.201 is a 2 bedroomed luxurious apartment located in the popular holiday village, ‘Opomar’ in Cabanas. The apartment is located on the first floor enjoying a very favourable position on the edge of the complex with two balconies, one over looking the swimming pool and the larger balcony overlooking garden lawn with far reaching views to the sea. Accommodation includes a lounge/diner, modern and fully equipped kitchen and a guest wc. To the rear of the apartment there are 2 bedrooms; 1 double and 1 twin with en suite bathrooms and fitted wardrobes in each. Additional guests can be accommodated on the sofa bed in the lounge. At the front of the apartment is a balcony with tables and chairs for dining/relaxing with a beautiful garden view ideal for watching the sun go down whilst enjoying a sangria, perfect for that holiday feeling!
A 5-10 minute stroll takes you directly to cabanas village where there is a wide choice of restaurants and cafe bars to choose from and also the boat to the beautiful beach island.

The apartment is owned by two couples and best friends Laurie & Lisa Hain and Phillip & Hannah Worsfold.
Following Phil & Hannahs wedding in Albufeira in 2010 with Laurie as best man and Lisa as brides maid and a successful honeymoon including a lovely stay in Cabanas village the decision was made to purchase our wonderful apartment in Opomar.
The quaint village, beautiful views and accomodating local people will make your holiday all the better whether your a couple or a family.
The Taviera area definately has a soft spot in our hearts.
‘O Pomar’ is a new holiday village increasing in popularity because of its great location and spacious, modern accommodation.
The Condominium complex has a cash machine, pub/snack bar, restaurant and a large swimming pool with sunbeds. The surroundings are a credit to the staff with very well maintained paths and plenty of parking for cars.
O Pomar is a short walk away from Cabanas village which can be reached in around 5 minutes on foot.
Cabanas is a small and pretty fishing village and is not overcrowded with tourists. It remains largely unspoilt and has a friendly, family atmosphere. The whole village can be leisurely strolled, from end to end, in around 30 minutes and has an excellent choice of restaurants, bars and cafes catering for all tastes - most of which are along the sea front capturing the day time sunshine. We would recommend Tapas watching the sun going down. For smaller budgets and a taste of the real Algarve, there are also a number of traditional bars and Tascas serving typical Portuguese meals in the back streets at very reasonable prices! The village has 2 good supermarkets with a range of fresh produce and there is also a daily market, butchers and bakers. There are relatively few gifts shops, but in the height of summer, there are stalls selling hand crafted goods. Cabanas is not a destination for those seeking activity and night life - the atmosphere is generally relaxed and is perfect for socializing, relaxing and dining. Good bus/rail links.
THE BEAUTIFUL TOWN OF TAVIRA: When staying in this accommodation a visit to the beautiful town of Tavira is essential! You will not fail to be enthralled by its unspoilt charm, character and tranquillity. As you wander along the cobbled streets, you'll see an abundance of history dating as far back as 2000BC. A Roman bridge links the 2 parts of the town across the River Gilao, its sides decorated with traditional old bars and restaurants where you can relax and enjoy a peaceful drink or meal. Horse drawn carriages and a small train operate around the town and are perfect for sightseeing and enjoying the peaceful ambiance. The many churches (37 in total!), the town castle and the typical fisherman's harbour leading to the River Formosa Natural Park are all places to visit, along with the wonderful daily market selling fresh home grown produce. Tavira Island and its wonderful beach is accessible by ferry boat from the town and offers excellent facilities with a wonderful holiday atmosphere.
BEACH AND OTHER THINGS TO SEE AND DO: The Algarve is famous for its wonderful sandy beaches and the idyllic Beach Island of Cabanas is no exception. Around 15 minutes stroll away, take the small water boat across the River Formosa to the beautiful sands. There are a few beach bars, and sun beds and are available for hire. By travelling a little further afield there are a good range of things to do for everyone. For nature lovers, forest walks, cruises along the River Guadiana or nature trails along the Ria Formosa Reserve where bird watching is in abundance! Traveling West there are some excellent shopping centres in Faro and Ghia as well as the famous Water Parks and Zoo Marine all easily reached by car or by day trip coach. The Spanish border town of Ayamonte is approx 25 kms by car, where the delights of another country can be sampled along with wine, Tapas and shopping. Ayamonte can also be reached by ferry from Vila Real. Seville is about 170km away, and budding historians may enjoy Castro Marim castle.
GOLF INFORMATION: This is perfect accommodation for golfers wishing to sample the excellent courses situated in the Eastern Algarve. Within a 20km radius there are 7 courses to choose from. Benamor and the 2 Quintas (Ria and Cima) are the most popular and can be reached within several minutes. The prestigious new course of Monte Rei designed by Jack Nicklaus now has its first 18 holes open and is continuing in its development to the second phase offering the height of golfing luxury - although a costly experience, this is a real treat for golfing fanatics wishing to experience a little high life! Travelling only 10kms further on towards Spain, the challenging course of Castro Marim, along with its famous country club comes highly recommended and just across the border are the Costa Esuri and Quinta do Vale courses now growing in popularity.

A 20% deposit secures your booking, with the balance due 8 weeks prior to your stay. A credit / Debit card will be required when checking in as security. As long as no losses, damages or breakage occurs then there will be no further charges.
