Khamkirri means 'place of the leopard', which sounds exactly like the experience will also include memorable and exciting! Exciting yes, because what comes from the bush running up there? Is that a Giraffe? Kudu or ...... ..? Especially at night when you relax on the porch is a drink is cracking the bush a great experience. How about enjoying the splash pool on the veranda overlooking the bush!
Besides the animals that regularly visit the garden, the villa has views of the river from the Kruger Park, where the lions drink and always has something going on. Kruger Park is very close so you can experience all the sounds from the front porch. The park is very easy from the villa to visit, the entrance is almost proverbial around the corner (about 20 min. Drive from the villa).
Khamkirri is an independent (self catering) holiday villa, built in African style (one original bush house) with a traditional thatched roof. The villa consists of 2 buildings, built on a land area of over 2000 m2. From the veranda you have a view on the Crocodile River and the Kruger National Park which the gate about 150 meters from our villa stands.
The villa is ideal for a larger family or company! There are no less than 8 beds, 4 in a separate building so if desired everyone can create his own place.
The villa itself consists of a spacious living room and a modern kitchen equipped with all modern conveniences. On the ground floor there is the master bedroom with an ensuite laying / soaking tub, separate shower, toilet and vanity with 2 sinks. Everything is finished in African style. The bedroom has plenty of storage and air conditioning and a fan. The villa has a private network that is connected to WIFI. WIFI throughout the house and outside to receive it, see for using our website.
Upstairs is a spacious bedroom also has an ensuite bathroom. The bathroom has a shower, bathtub, sink and toilet. The bedroom is equipped with air conditioning and a fan.
On the upper floor there is a spacious veranda and lounge area. There is a relaxing area where you can relax.
On the top floor of the annexe there are 2 bedrooms. Each bedroom has an ensuite bathroom, each equipped with a shower, sink and toilet. The bedrooms are equipped with air conditioning and fans.
Upstairs you can draw your good to go back if you need some privacy, here is a seat available with a small kitchenette and fridge.
Besides all the comfort and luxury inside, outside is too much to experience. First, we have a separate eating area. This is what protected here so you can quietly eat, suitable for breakfast, lunch and for dinner.
Especially for dinner we also have a separate section for the braai (African BBQ) with outdoor kitchen (with sink and water) so that outdoor cooking is a cinch! So you can really enjoy the barbecue with one another in the bush!
Do not feel like cooking? Even that is an option in Marloth Park, where there are several wonderful restaurants.
Looking for a great, exciting and above all unique experience in South Africa? Visit Khamkirri!
We welcome you gladly and will ensure that you lack nothing! The villa has Khamkirri for golfers 2 complete golf sets available!
I've spended 8 days at the great Khamkirri house. I would recommend it to everyone who is planning to have a trip to South-Africa to visit the Kruger Park. You can easily reach the Kruger Park (about 20 minutes by car), and even see the Crocodile River by walking 100 meters or sitting on the balcony (in the winter when the leaves have fallen down). I spended most of the mornings there, listening to the sound of the African Wildlife (which is even better in the evening by the way, you can hear the lions roar sitting on the veranda with a glass of wine).
Me and my sister stayed at the 'little' house, the cottage. It was great, we both had our own room with bathroom so we could have our own space.
And the thing I liked the most was that there were animals crossing the garden (zebra's, giraffes, impala's, gudu's and so on). I have seen them all. I loved this experience, the environment is great, there's lots of stuff to do and the house was just perfect for this vacation.
At the end of May/beginning of June I stayed in Khamkirri for 1,5 week. I had an absolutely amazing holiday there! The house includes literally everything you can think of from several luxurious rooms with each a private bathroom to a fully equipped kitchen (there is literally nothing I can name that wasn’t there).
The most amazing thing I experienced around the house were the animals that came really close. One day we were just sitting around the veranda, when a giraffe came passing by at a distance of 20 meters from the house, that was incredible! We have seen zebra’s, monkeys, birds and many more animals around the house. At night you can literally hear the lions and rhinos at the riverside of the Kruger Park making noise.
Besides enjoying yourself watching many animals while simply sitting at the veranda, there are literally a thousand things to do in the area ranging from the Panorama route to a visit to the chimpanzee centre, from visiting the Kruger park during day time with your own car to going to the supermarket which is an experience by itself and from a visit to Swaziland to a sunset safari in the Kruger park. These are only a few examples of activities in the area.
I have travelled quiet a lot already, but I have never ever experienced nature as close in such a luxurious house as I did in Khamkhirri, I can definitely recommend a visit to this beautiful house and surroundings in South Africa!

Marloth Park is adjacent to the south of the world famous Kruger National Park and is located between the towns of Malelane and Komatipoort. The park is more than 1,500 hectares. The park is fenced and has two guarded entrance gates. The infrastructure is reasonably good. Marloth Park has only one paved road, the main road (Elephant Drive) that runs from the Western Gate to the east gate. All other roads are unpaved.
The most important and interesting to the Marloth Park is the fact that the park is full of wild beasts. The wildlife roams free in the park and they have at all times take precedence over all.
What can you expect in game: zebra, giraffe, kudu, baboons, vervet monkeys, wildebeest, warthog, duiker little, impala. But there are also predators in the park such as cheetahs and leopards! So do not just go around in the evenings
At the park, there are two places where you can do and can even fill your groceries. These places are called Trading Post and Bush center. Here you will find a small grocery store, a liquor store and even a tool shop.
For Golfers is also an adventurous experience, there are the most exciting jobs in the environment around you all to live out as long as you fore keeps calling because the springbok and other wild animals must be informed if a golf ball does not follow the right course!
