2 Bedrooms, 2 Bathroom, Can Easily Accommodate 4/5people.

Don Joaquin is a relatively new, very modern complex, completed in 2002.

The apartment is a spacious two bed, two bathroom on the second floor, well situated, close to all amenities, and approx 500 meters from the beach. There is a good size balcony that overlooks the pool.

Getting to the apartment is easy, as it is less than 15 mins from the airport.

There is plenty to see and do in the area.

Tivoli Park for example, which is a centre of entertainment mainly for the young. There is also the Aqua Park, which is less than 10 mins by taxi.

The area caters well for young and not so young.

The Marina is well populated with lively bars, restaurants, and discos.

While the area is lively, you are assured of a good nights sleep

Golf

For the golf enthusiast there are a number of golf courses close by. There is at least 50 golf course on the Costa Del Sol alone.

We enjoyed our holiday very much.

The Apartment was very pleasing and we had lots if space in it .

The two en-suite bedrooms/bathrooms meant we always had a free

bathroom/shower/wc. available to use. From the large balcony had a

good view of the hills and sea , and also we could keep an eye on our

kids in the swimming pool.

The area was very pleasant and the local restaurants offered great

value...especially the `chinese garden restuarant at the bottom of the

road with a good meal for under E 5.00

This was a group booking holiday (3 families). There were six in my family. The group had booked three separate apartments in Don Joaquin. It was the first time that any of the families had booked a private rented place. The owner was emailed and was very informative to my brother who was the person who organised the bookings. We got the train from Malaga airport to El Pinillo station and walked for approx 15 mins to the apartments. (Slow walk) We then rang Lorraine and she met us at 2pm and showed each family to their apartment. I was really impressed by the apartment. It was far bigger than a normal sized hotel/apartment room. The kitchen had everything that we needed. It was spotless. Two bathrooms are great with towels provided. We sampled the Chinese which was ok/good but very cheap and the Indian was really good, both were at the bottom of the hill. Lidl is about a seven min walk away (downhill) and uphill was Super Sol supermarket (felt easier and quicker to get to). There was a shopping trolley in our room which was brilliant for carrying all the heavy shopping. The hill was ok but if you were tired it was a wee bit daunting (only when you thought about it) but honestly it was not too bad. If the pool had a separate kid’s pool it would be ideal for younger kids but on the plus side it was manned by a life guard every day. It was about a 15 min walk to the beach/ promenade and the harbour, but for us all we didn’t mind as we thought the exercise did us no harm!! All in all I would recommend Don Joaquin to anyone. We would def go back again, it was also good value for money. Lorraine and Colin were great and told us that they were only a phone call away if we needed assistance with anything. Each family really enjoyed the break. The only negative thing was it was a wee bit away from the beach, but we knew that before we booked, we got use to the walk. I could write more bonus things about our apartment but I will finish off by saying as parents with 2 teenage boys, a 10 year old boy and a grandfather aged 76, it suited all of us. I hope this helps whoever reads this if you are considering booking in Don Joaquin.

Lovely Appartment in great location

We stayed here for our break and the place is great! The appartment is lovely and very comfortable especially for a family of 4 like ours :) The kids had great craic down at the pool and the previous review on this page about the chinese at the bottom of the road is bang on, great meal and service for E5.45 amazing deal. The appartment is just a few mins walk to the centre of everything pubs, supermarkets and a nightlife place called 24hr square is just around the corner if that's what your looking for and the beach and promenade is only 10 - 15 mins walk too. All in all I had a fantastic holiday, will definately be revisiting belmadena and this appartment!

Not as good as advertised

The apartment was a little tired and needs some updating. Light not fixed to the ceiling, another light not working. One of the main bedroom windows would not lock, the beds were "very firm" and if you like it that way then you will be comfortable, if not then look elsewhere. More of a 3 star than a 5 star apartment however, overall value for money.

Everything you need is within walking distance, while a car is not necessary, you do have your own private parking space.
