The property is half an hour from Silverstone.
Our family moved to this village four years ago - and love the rural environment.
Rachel Butler purchased this cottage in 2010
The property has country-side views, easy access to walks and cycle routes and the property and village have all the essentials for a rural escape, including a shop if you want to self-cater or a pub if you prefer not to cook.
The 65' 3D TV with surround sound and Blu-Ray player means you do not need to leave the cottage for your entertainment if the weather deters you from going out!
Rachel was a great host and the cottage is in superb condition - a real gem! Despite the rainy weather, we felt cosy, warm and very comfortable. A home from home. Many lovely National Trust properties are within easy reach and definitely worth a visit. We will definitely be back!
We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend stay in this lovely cottage. It's the perfect place to relax and unwind - quiet warm and comfortable and well equipped.
The Pilgrim pub just over the road serves good food and local beer.
Waddesden Manor is a short drive away and well worth a visit.
The time passed too quickly and we'd love to come back in the future. I imagine it's very cosy in the winter.
Rachel's attention to detail and superior care for every aspect of this cottage is unsurpassed by anywhere we've stayed before. Cleanliness, quality, and her hospitality to us was phenomenal. We will stay here again for our next visit to the U.K. and recommend this cottage to any friends of ours who plan to be in the area.
This spring we enjoyed our stay in this cottage, we loved it very much!. It’s a very well equipped, very clean and neat cottage with a very friendly and helpful host and hostess. We loved the beautiful scenery in the surrounding area (between London, Oxford, Milton Keynes), coming from the Netherlands we didn't expect England to be this beautiful ;-) and London is just 45-60 min. by train+tubes for <30 Gbp/person. We sincerely recommend this cottage (and it's host(es) :-) ) for everyone planning to visit Buckinghamshire!
Following my husband's heart surgery I was looking for a quiet and comfortable cottage not too far from where we live for a couple of day of R and R and I found Rachel and Pete's holiday cottage. It was perfect in all respects; clean, comfortable, all on one floor and right opposite a delightful pub where we had a lovely meal. We were made to feel very welcome by Rachel and Pete and would have loved to have stayed longer. The ladies at the local shop stayed open for us because we got there late and we were lucky to be there on the local pottery's open day too. I would highly recommend this perfect little cottage and the village of North Marston is a gem.
We'll appointed conversion and clean. Host was very welcoming. We would certainly return.
