Neptune's Retreat is a privately owned, spacious 4 bedroom villa with large open plan lounge/dining area opening onto fabulous private paved terrace and garden with 13x4 metre pool, situated on the south-west coast of Cyprus, in the rural seaside village of pissouri bay, midway between paphos and limassol. Set at the southern end of a small valley filled with vineyards, the villa has spectacular sea views from the living areas and also from every bedroom, (so you will wake up to the sound of the sea and relax in bed, savouring the views in luxury). The master bedroom has a private terrace with fantastic views over the bay and sea, with mature gardens providing privacy around the beautiful pool.

Neptune's retreat is ideal both for lazing around and enjoying that book you have been meaning to read for months, or for more active passions such as golf (with 2 championship courses a mere 10 minute scenic drive away), water sports at the nearby blue flag beach, or exploring the many beauties of this wonderful island and indulging in culinary delights at the many local tavernas and restaurants.
And if you are around between June and September, you may be lucky enough to watch loggerhead turtles make nests and lay their eggs on our local beach, and then see the turtle hatchings emerge about 7 weeks later - amazing experience! Have a look at the pictures to see the latest seasonal turtle activities.

“we had a lovely time. The villa was wonderful and the pool a real hit with the boys and granddads. They spent most of the days submerged. The weather got really hot during the middle of our stay but we had the lovely pissouri breeze. We enjoyed captains bay and mum and i went to the serenity spa for a lovely massage – the girls were great. Thanks for everything. Best wishes.”

“fantastic villa, lovely pool enjoyed by everyone. People very friendly and chris the taxi man a real star. We tried all the restaurants recommended and all were very good. Captains bay great for long lunches. Indian food was excellent, best tasted. Cyprus night in the village was the best night, water mania most fun.”
“wonderful villa for a family celebration (ruby wedding anniversary). Good for young children (6 months and 18 months). Fantastic long pool! We have all thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Would recommend Columbia hotel and hill view restaurant for a special occasion (worth paying the extra money). Would definitely visit this villa again. Thank you.”

“lovely villa, superb location. We could find no fault whatsoever. My 3 year old daughter loved the pool and she can practically swim now. All the rooms and the outside area are excellent. My only complaint is why didn't we book a second week - one week is not enough! Weather has been hot every day. Thank you for a very enjoyable week.”

About Ivor Tucker
Ivor grew up in sunny South Africa but always yearned to travel, which he did extensively after graduating from university. He met Deborah after moving permanently to the UK, and they married in London 20 years ago. The family was completed when Stefan arrived 12 years ago, to join our 5 cats as the latest addition to the family.
We all love travelling (except the cats, of course, who guard our home in London when we are away) and Cyprus ticks all our boxes - almost permanent sunshine, gorgeous blue sea, wonderful views and natural beauty combined with extensive culinary delights, antiquities and there is always something new to explore within easy driving distance of our villa.
Ivor Tucker purchased this villa in 2006
Why Ivor Tucker chose Pissouri Bay & Village
Our family fell in love with Pissouri Bay when we came across it during an exploratory visit to Cyprus, and we were lucky enough to build a glorious 4 bedroom private villa to our own specifications, which allowed us to ensure every room in the villa overlooks the sea, while also having the longest private pool in the bay (13 x 4m) set in an extensive paved patio and garden. We spent many months carefully selecting all the fittings and furniture, in order to make our wonderful villa truly a 'home from home'.
And as we live permanently outside Cyprus, we want to give other families and groups like you the opportunity to experience the joy of our treasured holiday home for yourselves. So after browsing this site and reading our guest reviews, we hope you will reserve your holiday and enjoy Neptune's Retreat as much as we and our previous guests have done.
What makes this villa unique
When you first arrive at Neptune's Retreat, you will be greeted by our glorious Australian flame tree with its vivid red flowers, and a mass of multi-coloured bougainvillea, before you open the large front door and gasp at the glorious view of Pissouri Bay as you enter the large open-plan living area, covered by our specially cool selected Italian ceramic flooring.
Once you have selected who will sleep in which bedroom, each individually decorated, you can then crash out after your journey or take a walk into the village below for a drink and a relaxing meal.
Lie in bed in the morning, throw open the floor to ceiling picture windows from each of the four bedrooms (yes, every room has panoramic sea and bay views) and watch and listen to the sea lapping on the blue flag beach below you!
When you finally crawl/jump out of bed, amble around the extensive patio surrounding our 13 x 4 metre pool, indulge in an early morning swim or just laze on one of the loungers while enjoying breakfast al fresco or at our large dining table, while continuing to enjoy the views framed by beautiful mature bougainvillea, palm trees and other Mediterranean plants and flowers.
After breakfast, take the short walk down to the beach and settle in for a long day of lazing, swimming, sailing, reading, beach combing or snoozing on one of the many umbrella-shaded loungers that dot the peaceful, uncrowned beach (Pissouri beach is never crowded, even on the busiest holiday days. If you feel peckish, you have the choice of several beach-front restaurants to fall into.
And then for sundowners, you can enjoy a quiet drink and meal back at the villa (perhaps a BBQ if you are feeling like cooking yourselves) or take a walk or short drive to one of about 30 restaurants at the beach or in the surrounding villages. And we would suggest at least one night out in Limassol and Paphos to walk along the extensive sea-front promenades, and deciding which cuisine to choose for your meal.
Guestbook comments from the owner
We have just returned from a one week stay at Neptune's Retreat. We travelled with another family and the villa easily accommodated four adults and five children. It is situated in a very private location - even though there are close neighbours the pool and patio areas are pretty secluded. The villa is elevated which gave us great views over Pissouri bay .
The kitchen is equipped with all the bits you need if you decide to cook in ( though we only had breakfast, light lunches and a couple of great B-B-Q's there. The rest of the time we ate out at the lovely eateries that are only a short walk away. The beach is close too though our children were happiest around the villa's lovely pool.
The villa was lovely and clean and although it was showing signs of being the end of the season we thought it was great. OK there were a couple of small niggly bits that were not quite right but nothing that spoiled a great stay. We were left on our own to enjoy ourselves and if you needed anything there was a tel number of a local lady that would sort out any problems.
Ivor, the owner, even kindly let us stay in the villa on our last day as we had an evening flight back to the UK. We would not hesitate in returning to Neptune's Retreat.
