Photos and Description of this 4 bedroom holiday villa in Moncarapacho - Casa da Quinta
Casa da Quinta
Within walking distance of the center of Moncarapacho, this wonderful villa is beautifully located in the middle of its own orange grove. The villa has its own recently completed private, heated pool measuring 13x6 meters (salt water)!
The villa is private, so there are no shared rooms or owners on the property. The property is entirely fenced off. There are various terraces, one with a brick barbecue. The roof terrace offers amazing views. From here you can see beautiful sunsets, the ocean or, further inland, the Algarvian hills.
Inside the villa, you will find a massive living room with a big open
fireplace, a fully equipped kitchen and a separate dining area. The entrance hallway is spectacular with its eight-meter high, domed ceiling! On the ground floor there are two spacious bedrooms, both with en-suite bathrooms. These bedrooms have their own terrace situated on the south side of the villa. On the first floor, there are two more bedrooms, both very spacious, with their own en-suite bathrooms. Both the bedrooms on the first floor have direct access to the roof terrace. During the cooler winter season, an additional fireplace in the dining room and underfloor heating in all the rooms ensure a cozy and comfortable stay.
Moncarapacho is a romantic little village, with good and affordable restaurants, small supermarkets, a daily fresh market with fish, meat and vegetables, a sofa and a post office. Here you can experience the Algarve at its best! Beaches are within a 10-minute drive. The loveliest beaches are the closest: on the Ria Formosa, untouched by mass tourism, with small beach bars and restaurants, white sandy beaches and old fishing boats, all which are still in use. Here you can actually eat the fish that has just been caught!
There are several golf courses within a couple of minutes drive of Casa da Quinta. Further information and prices are available from
Another remarkable feature of the Algarve is the extent and variety of its birdlife. About 300 species are either indigenous to the region, visit the Algarve at certain times of the year, or stop off here on their migration to and from Africa.
With an average of 300 days of sunshine a year, the lush vegetation and many flowers that vary from month to month are a real joy - not just for botanists, starting with pink and white almond blossom in January, and a golden sea of acacia,
mimosas und buttercups in February.
The Ria Formosa, one of the most important European national parks, with its rambling marshland, dunes and lagoons, is just a 10-minute drive away.
