Refurbished beach-facing one bedroom air-conditioned apartment with WI-FI. Sleeps 4. Very quiet in a private complex with 3 pools and gardens. Right on the beach yet in the heart of Marbella, with shops and restaurants at your fingertips. It is on the top (fifth floor) of the building. There are three lifts serving this floor.

PARKING: There is a secure underground car park next to the building. rates start at about 10 pounds a day. There is also free parking on many streets. - however, during the summer months parking nearby can be a problem.
LOCATION and FACILITIES: Very private but right next to the beach. There is an English-run bar/cafe next to the pool area with food and drink served all day for residents only. A lifeguard is on duty throughout the summer months.You can hire a sunbed / lounge chair for the day. There are plenty of shady areas under palm trees or thatched sun shades.
Swimming pool is available all year round but is not heated at the moment.
We are a married couple. We're both teachers who live and work in Madrid. I am French and my husband English. Our holiday rental is for us a hobby in which we gladly invest a lot of our energy and creativity. We love hearing that we've been able to help in providing people with a great holiday.

As soon as we walked into this flat we felt good. The person who sold it to us told us it had always had 'great vibes' - you'll feel it too!
This flat is in a building with great facilities and the best location - for the beach, the seafront walk and the most popular bars, restaurants and cafés. It's cosy, comfortable and never too hot or too cold.
Fly to Malaga airport and take the bus to Marbella. At the bus station, take a taxi to Edificio Skol, which is right in front of the tourist office by the sea front. It is a very short ride and easy to find.
The Costa del Sol region
You want a holiday where you can do what you want, when you want in an apartment that is comfortable, functional and perfectly located. Our beachside holiday flat features many homely touches and is in a safe environment with sun-bathing facilities, a cafe specially for residents, swimming-pools and a garden gate which opens onto a pedestrians only beach area.
The streets of Marbella are full of honeysuckle, mimosa, tamarind trees and many varieties of palm. Jasmine and bougainvillea drape garden walls and the sides of buildings. The promenade features tiled marble and cafes and restaurants every few hundred yards.
The centre of Marbella, where Edificio Skol is located, has all the amenities you need but is relaxed and quiet. Within a short stroll from the apartment are supermarkets, bars, shops and restaurants - you won't need a car unless you plan to play golf or explore the hinterland with its 'pueblos blancos'. Many budget car hire firms have offices near the apartment building.
Edificio Skol has become a Marbella landmark. Its central, seafront location and quirky sixties design emphasizes its origins as a pioneering emblem of the Costa del Sol. The extensive gardens, residents' café and 3 swimming-pools with sunbeds (cost approx. 2 euros per day) just off the beach make it the envy of most other buildings in the vicinity. The facade has recently been totally renovated and it has become a symbol of the carefree, year-round holiday atmosphere that pervades Marbella.
The Old Town offers walking, shopping and eating. It is typically Andalusian with its Moorish walls, old churches and town square ringed with orange trees. It has been well maintained and is within walking distance of the flat. There are lots of open-air restaurants in and around the town square.
Marbella's beaches and palm tree-lined promenade are just outside the garden gate as you can see from our photo 'Marbella'. The gate of the complex gives on to the seafront walk. The promenade now extends all the way to Puerto Banus (approx. 5 kilometers) and is a very pleasant walk. You can catch a boat back to the harbour adjacent to the apartment building (cost around 5 euros).
The beaches in front of Skol feature freshwater showers, sunbeds and a little farther along, beachside barbecue bars that serve fresh grilled fish and seafood at attractive prices.
