BIRTHDAY CELEBRATIONS AND FAMILY REUNIONS
The Admiral's House has hosted many birthday celebrations - everything from 30ths to 90ths. Its a great place to get everyone together. There's a huge dining table opening onto the sea view terrace & a wonderfully equipped, spacious kitchen to cook up a feast. If you're feeling lazy, get our caterers involved. They both make the most fabulous cakes too. The house sleeps 13, but there are also some great B&Bs on our road if your group is a little larger. For a family gathering the house is perfect. There's a wonderful garden for kids to have adventures, a peaceful Vine Room to escape from the noise & all the rooms are lovely - no one need complain about the allocation. Ilfracombe's pretty harbour is just a 15 min walk & the South West Coastal path starts right outside the back gate. Catering
Here's a testimonial from a recent hen...'Extremely comfortable beds, fabulous showers, the furnishings were incredible, the whole house vibe - well, we already want to come back for a week with other halves! Would be amazing. Loved all the thoughtful extras like towels, hot water bottles, blankets. I'm biased but how could anyone top the Admiral's for a hen do?!!' The Admiral's has a stunning interior, as featured in many magazines eg Red, Real Homes, 25 Beautiful Homes, The Guardian, Grazia etc etc. So its a very stylish location for a sophisticated hen do. Book a surfing lesson for the group in nearby Woolacombe, visit the inspirational Breathing Yoga barn in Lee for a private lesson, explore Ilfracombe with the Ilfracombe Treasure Hunt, go for a dramatic cliff top walk to a pretty country pub or enjoy beauty treatments in the comfort of The Admiral's. There's so many things to do & see, and we're very happy to give help & advice if you're the organiser.
At the end of the road, just a 5 min walk, is the wonderful Tunnels Beaches. They have recently launched a stunning purpose built beachside wedding venue. Built into the cliffs & looking straight out to sea its an amazing spot. The Admiral's is a wonderful place to stay if you've booked Tunnels for your wedding. Near enough that you can easily walk to & from the venue, but far enough away that you have space & peace before the big day. The house is a perfect size to accommodate bride/groom & close family. We have 2 wonderful caterers who will fill the fridge with delicious food before you arrive, or prepare a special meal at the house (& clear up!). On the day itself we can recommend a great beauty therapist for massage/manicure/pedicure/make up etc all done in the comfort of The Admiral's.
