This end-terraced fisherman's cottage is ideally located on the outskirts of historic Deal, within easy reach of the shops, restaurants, pubs and the shingle beach of this pretty Kent town. Well appointed throughout, this Deal cottage is ideal for families and friends looking to explore this part of Kent. Contemporary and stylish furniture gives the sitting room a modern but very comfortable feel, whilst the dining room takes you back in time with solid wood flooring, oak table and chairs and even an original oil lamp. Three steps lead you down from the dining room into the fitted kitchen. An exterior door takes you out into the rear garden. Both of the first floor bedrooms are large, but the master bedroom also benefits from a well proportioned en-suite bathroom. Outside this Deal cottage is an enclosed rear garden with lawn and outdoor seating, making this the perfect place to relax and unwind after a day exploring castles and coastlines. Deal offers visitors the chance to sample the flavour of pirates and fishermen from the days gone by, with the chance to enjoy a fishing trip and try and land your own catch of the day! Close to Deal, visitors are also able to explore the historic city of Canterbury with its famous cathedral and inland waterways, or take the ferry from Dover across the Channel to France and stock up with wine and cheese. The cottage is on a quiet, picturesque street of Deal. 2 late open grocery stores are 2-3 minutes walk; small fish & chip take away is just over the road; about 5 minutes walk north alone the road, you are reaching Golf Courses: Royal Cinque Ports and The Royal St. George's Golf; Walking south along the road, you come to main High Street with all its amenities. The Saturday market, close to the town center is on every week. The beach is a short stroll away that can be reached by passing through Middle Street - little changed since the 18 Century.

I had a really nice stay here at Anchor Rest. The weather has been variable but mostly nice.
The cottage had everything I needed. Being on a working holiday, the good wifi connection was especially appreciated.
