Corte Antonio Martins is a small village set in beautiful countryside between Tavira and Vila Nova de Cacela. Monte Rei Golf and Country Club, a Jack Nicklaus designed course, is only 3km from Casa Rosa, and in the opinion of many, is the best course on the Algarve. It also hosts a very fine restaurant, Vistas, where Jamie Perez is the resident chef. It is an idyllic country club with beautiful pool, spa and gym. Day passes are available from the Club at reasonable rates. At Casa Rosa, you are fortunate to benefit from the best of both worlds: a perfect tranquil location with amazing views to the East Algarve coast and across to Spain but you are still only 5 kms from the town of Vila Nova de Cacela. There you will find a good choice of restaurants, shops and bars as well as supermarkets, a train station and a three banks. There is also a daily market selling fresh fish, fruit and vegetables and local produce. A little further afield is Villa Real do Santo Antonio where you can catch the ferry to Spain or you can drive across the border via the impressive Guadiana International Bridge for a day out and a change of culture. The picturesque Tavira is a must! It is an unspoilt town straddling the River Gilão with very few hotels and lots of churches, history and cobbled streets filled with street cafes. Tavira typifies the unspoilt region of the East Algarve which is a joy to explore. Horse drawn carriages and a small land train operate around the town and are perfect for sightseeing and enjoying the peaceful ambience. Tavira Island has a wonderful beach and lots of beach side restaurants and is accessible by ferry boat from the town.
