Grand depart

Home and away. Must they be so very different? Sweetly tucked in Chiswick, Rylett Road speaks of faraway journeys through the lands of the south. With its Chinese wedding cabinets and cross-legged Buddhas carved in stone, to step inside is to find yourself, suddenly, far away. But not for long. Radiantly refurbished, every corner of this home is keen and cosy, from the modern bedrooms to the kitchen that sparkles like the sun in the east. There’s no reason why your voyage should stop here though. Be it in the shops of Shepherd’s Bush or your own calming back garden, there’s plenty left to discover.

Godspeed

Your French-speaking hosts have two young boys and a cat. They love to travel and their home has the treasures – not to mention the photographs – to prove it.

Worlds apart

For all the leafiness of your location, Rylett Road is one well-travelled abode. And, surely the room with the most stamps on its passport is the drawing room. Here you’ve everything from Buddhas to backgammon, stone busts to traditional Chinese wedding cabinets. Get a good look around as you squeeze onto the sofa, or why not flow into the contemporary sitting room and flick on the TV. The real hub of this home, however, is the kitchen. Skylit and spacious, the lines are clean, the worktop sleek in charcoal grey and the wooden table set for four. But for all that, we won’t blame you for making a beeline for the garden’s sweet patio and lawn. When dusk starts to settle, you’ve three tremendously modern bedrooms. The master overlooks the garden, the double can serve as a study and, as for the little ones, not only have they a delightful bunk bedroom but also a toy-studded playroom. You’ve a master ensuite and a white marble bathroom, both abundant with our White Company goodies.

Voyages of discovery

The rolling acres of Ravenscourt Park beckon to little ones and lazy ones alike, while Chiswick High Road has cafes and restaurants aplenty. You might wander along the Thames, find the finest in fabrics along Goldhawk Road or, for the serious shopper in you, lose an afternoon to the designer brands of Westfield. The tube from Stamford Brook to Oxford Circus takes around twenty five minutes.

What makes this house unique

Booking a stay is as easy as booking a hotel room, with online payment and confirmation. You get the same attention to detail and personal service too.

Every home is properly cleaned before and after you stay, beds made (we can even do hospital corners) and bathrooms kitted out with luxury toiletries. There’s a maid service if you want it, as well as other hotel-style amenities.

Once we’ve helped you settle in, we’re just a call away, 24/7. If it’s something we can’t solve over the phone, we’ll pop over to lend a hand.

And because nobody wants to be a tourist, our homes come with personal and unique recommendations from the people who live in them – places to eat, things to do and adventures to go on.
