Nestled between the picturesque unspoilt villages of Casares and Gaucin on Spain's Costa del Sol, it is a convenient short drive from the coast (just 15 minutes) with close proximity to coastal towns Estepona and Sabinillas. Set against the backdrop of the Serranía de Ronda, nearby village Gaucin provides visitors with everything they may need, from shops and services to good restaurants and classic tabernas. The surrounding area is a paradise for nature lovers, with an abundance of good trails suitable for both walking and cycling plus equestrian facilities offering horse trekking. Nearby Gaucín is a town located in the mountains of Andalusia in the province of Málaga in southern Spain. It is inland from Marbella, Puerto Banús and Estepona and not far from Ronda. The village has a population of approximately 2,000 and lies around 600 metres above sea level in the Sierra del Hacho, dominated by the Castillo del Aguila (Eagle's Castle), originally a Roman stronghold, expanded by the Arabs. Gaucín is known for its spectacular views of Gibraltar, the Strait of Gibraltar and Morocco, as well the surrounding mountain scenery.
