What a gem!
We had the pleasure of staying in this fabulous villa last summer and thoroughly enjoyed it. The villa is very spacious; we spent the first half an hour gleefully exploring the rooms, and fantastic terrace and garden which encompasses the house from the patio doors to an upper sun deck. Clean, tidy, and extremely well equipped the owners have thought of everything: from beach towels, to kitchen appliances, to giant Jenga! The barbeque was an absolute winner, used on many balmy evenings, and with shops a walk away (or drive if you want the larger supermarkets) you're not short of things to throw on it. Comfort and relaxation is paramount here, whether you're in the lounge, sunning on the terrace, or occasionally having a lie-in in the master bedroom with floor to ceiling glass doors opening onto the terrace.
There's plenty to see and do: the local sandy beach is a walk away, and there are also two stony coves within walking distance which seem to be hidden gems only frequented by locals (sorry locals!). A short drive opens up more of the wonderful Costa Verde including the stunning Funtanazza and Piscinas. If your interest is more rooted in history then there are plenty of options; from the mines of Montevecchio to the ruins of Tharros.
The villa has a wealth of local information provided by the owners so if you don't fancy giving the barbeque a work-out you can sample some fantastic restaurants: there's a great seafood restaurant in Pistis, try one of the agriturismo for local fare, and there's a good local restaurant on the main road into Torre.
We had a memorable time here and hope to return in 2014!
