Stay in your own Apartment, don´t share, privacy and perfect location!
This charming and romantic 40sqm apartment is located in the Born area, in the second floor of a XIVth century’s building, completely restored with two lifts but preserving the antic features from the palace that it used to be. The building is located between Flassaders and Rec streets in a quiet area, especially compared with the Montcada Street, a few meters away, where the Picasso museum is located. The building is one of the most interesting in the Born area, certainly the most fashionable and original neighbourhood in Barcelona. This holiday apartment is an ideal choice for four guests - a small family or group of friends. The main living area is composed of a sofa-corner, TV set and access to the small balcony. The sofa here can be turned into a comfortable double bed and the separate bedroom has one double bed. The open-plan kitchen has been modernly furnished for a self-catering stay with amenities such as cooker/oven, fridge, microwave, toaster, utensils while there is also a flat screen TV, air-conditioning, internet WIFI, a washing machine and much more.
Wouldn't it be great to take up a holiday apartment in Borne, an idyllic district of Barcelona spaced out from the city noises, yet close enough to explore its many facets? Also known as La Ribera, this old quarter of Barcelona is primarily Bohemian in architecture and outlook. It has a rich cultural history, housing the Picasso museum as a hangout for art lovers. Plus, the unique structure of five joined medieval palaces make it an even more interesting visit.
The Textile and Clothing Museum depicts Borne's significance in the ancient textile industry of Barcelona. The exhibits show how Spanish fashion evolved through the ages. Today, Borne is a high couture area in Barcelona where shoppers can revel in designer stores for clothes and shoes.
The main street in Borne is Calle Argentaria; it has the Santa Maria del Mar cathedral situated at its end, on a square of the same name. The tall columns of this cathedral may have inspired Gaudi's masterpiece La Sagrada Familia in Barcelona, while its blackened inner walls are a reminder of the destruction during the Spanish Civil War. From a holiday apartment in Borne, one can also get a good view of the happening Passeig del Borne at night, with its line-up of clubs and cocktail bars.
The best part about renting a Barcelona holiday apartment in Borne is its central location. Two metro stations service this place, making it very accessible to other areas. One can spend the evenings strolling down to the bustling La Rambla street a short distance away. There are bargain sales for trinkets, innovative performances of entertainment, and delicious Spanish tapas being served at the roadside cafes.
Young families can make their way to the beach, which is within walking distance. Alternatively, they can spend the day at the Parc Ciutadella in the vicinity; the children will love the variety of animals at the Barcelona Zoo inside the park. Borne is the perfect place to board, and most of its holiday apartments keep the exterior Bohemian charm, while being furnished with modern amenities.
