We are discreet but present at if needed!
Included in the price, our hosts find in the fridge: fresh drinks (mineral water, fruit juice, milk), some fresh products.
At your disposal too: coffee, tea, jam, sugar, toasts, etc
We are also very happy to welcome our guests with a special gift, a souvenir from Dijon to take back home !
Jackie and Marie-Jean are the most gracious and generous hosts we've ever had the pleasure of meeting. We really felt like personal guests in their home rather than "clients". Jackie gave us a personalized tour of Dijon on our first day (while helping us move our rental from the street to a garage), then on our last day Jackie and Marie-Jean had us over for coffee and fresh-baked apple pie (delicious). They obviously enjoy meeting people and doing what they can to make the stay as enjoyable as possible.
The apartment was perfectly appointed and right in the centre of old Dijon - steps away from everything. We cannot recommend this property enough.
Merci Beaucoup Jackie and Marie-Jean!
We stayed two September nights in L'ECRIN DUCAL of Jacky et Marie-Jeanne, and can't over express our positive experience about it:
1. Most importantly, the location is bar none - you can see the spires of Dijon's Notre Dame from the large French window of bedroom and walk cross street to enter it; all the major historical, architectural, or artistic attractions one comes to Dijon for, let alone other conveniences such as restaurants, markets, and shopping, etc, are within a few minutes of walking distance. To the best of our knowledge, there are no major hotels in the close vicinity, therefore one can say this property is indeed in the center of centers of tourist lodging in Dijon.
2. The rooms are exactly and even better than the photos depicted. It is more than fully equipped, abundantly provisioned, and impeccably clean.
3. The hospitality of the owners is exceptional. Their family friend Viviane kindly rode us from the Dijon train station to the apartment, where Jacky was awaiting. We also received a bottle of the famous Crème de Cassis from him as a welcoming gift. He and the beautiful Marie-Jeanne bid us goodbye warmly and tipped the taxi driver with special instruction to take us to the lesser known backdoor of the Dijon train station so that our heavy luggage can avoid the long stairway of its front gate.
All in all, this stay added an equally wonderful experience in our Dijon trip.
We will recommend it to all our friends and colleagues. Ourselves will definitely come back to Jacky et Marie-Jeanne again.

This May, my husband and I had a wonderful stay at the L'Ecrin Ducal. We were met by Jacky the owner who greeted us as if we were family! As we entered the courtyard of the house, we have been able to see that the building itself had an old world charm and we immediately felt like we arrived in France!
Jacky showed us to a lovely immaculately clean apartment with a comfortable bed, a lounge with large windows opening above a cobble stone street. Gentle breezes and lovely church bells from the church of Our Lady across the street were enjoyed every night. We were treated to beautiful roses, sweets, fresh bread and jams, cheese and everything that we would need for our first morning in Dijon! Wow! And if we needed anything at all, we were to call our host, Jacky.
The apartment was in the center of Dijon and everything was at a walking distance. There is much to do in the area with cafes, boutiques, beautiful gardens, churches and museums. We also enjoyed a day visit to the country side discovering many vineyards and tasting different wines. The town of Beaune was also a wonderful way to spend a relaxing afternoon.
We loved our stay at the L'Ecrin Ducal but one of our most special times was our visit with Jacky and his beautiful wife Marie-Jeanne . We spent a very pleasant evening getting to know this charming French couple and we were spoiled by Marie-Jeanne's home cooking! The next morning, Jacky joined us in an early taxi ride to the train station, ensuring the we choose the correct train and bidding us farewell. My husband David and I would like to thank both Jacky and Marie-Jeanne for such an extraordinary stay in Dijon! We loved getting to know the two of you and we returned to Canada with beautiful memories of Dijon and the charming the people who live there! Merci, merci, merci !!
With much love and respect,
David and Lois Wilson.
How amazing to have found this treasure of a place to stay in Dijon! Our hosts Jacky and Marie-Jeanne have decorated with elegance and furnished with any comfort one might wish for, from lovely fresh flowers and macaroons on the table right down to fresh eggs, milk, butter, etc. What a pleasure to be taken care of so kindly by hosts who anticipate any detail one might need. We'll be back as soon as we can!
