About Sam McCarthy
Born in Portugal, lived in Portugal and holiday in Portugal... I have traveled around Portugal throughout the years and have a great idea of where to go off the beaten track, where the good food and wine is to be savored. I love the club life, the Portuguese social life and the peaceful time out here. I have family here as my mother is Portuguese and my late father was Irish...both love Portugal and that is how I can talk about the country. I have a passion for travelling and I am always visiting new places around the world...you only live once.. I am happy when my guests are happy and enjoy the apartment and what Portugal and in particular Algarve has to offer...
Sam McCarthy purchased this apartment in 2009
Why Sam McCarthy chose Albufeira Town and Marina
This property caught my eye as it was one of the last properties to be built within the now set 500m coastline protected boundary. This means no further builds can be made within 500m of the coastline. It's compact, designed for both living and holidaying so its very versatile. I am from Portuguese background but grew up in Ireland and have been living in the UK for 17 years. I speak Portuguese and have good knowledge of Portugal as a whole and also Albufeira as it has been a family destination of my family since before I was born. My Mother is Portuguese and my father Irish, so a good mixture of cultures. Albufeira has so much to offer and it has both an Old Town with its old churches and cobbled streets and shops with great nightlife. Then a few minutes away is the new town, so to speak, where there is the main strip for those who rather the more racey extreme nightlife. There is a small town road train that goes from the Old Town right into the beginning of the main strip in approx. 10 mins, this runs from early morning to late at night...perfect!
What makes this apartment unique
The views did it for me, the security of being able to sleep with the patio doors open and hearing the sea move and smell the sea air from time to time...
