The Farmhouse is a traditional detached cottage, set on a working organic farm and next to the owner's home, eight miles from Skibbereen, County Cork. This cottage sleeps six people in three bedrooms, consisting of two doubles and one twin, as well as a ground floor bathroom. The cottage also has a kitchen with dining area, a sitting room with a woodburning stove and a dining room. Outside there is off road parking for one car on the owner's driveway, a private, front walled garden with gravelled area with furniture and salad and herb beds and use of 15 acres of woodlands with paths for walking, shared with the owner. The Farmhouse is close to beaches, walking and cycling routes, making this part of Ireland an ideal place to getaway from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Note: The owner has chickens and donkeys near the property, and also their dog roams free, so please ensure dogs are kept on a lead when outside.
The market town of Skibbereen offers colourful shops, pubs and restaurants, as well as the West Cork Arts Centre and Skibbereen Heritage Centre. The area boasts sandy beaches, secluded coves, fast-flowing rivers, lakes, hills and forests, plus the towns and villages of Ballydehob, Baltimore, Glandore, Schull and Bantry are all within driving distance.
