Situated within the pretty village of Slingsby in an one of the UK's designated Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty on the edge of the Howardian Hills in Yorkshire, Kate's Cottage oozes charm and character.
The self catering holiday accommodation is a Grade II listed former railway worker's cottage which combines modern living with cottage features. Places to visit from this holiday cottage include the historical city of York (18 miles), Malton (6 miles), Helmsley (10 miles) and Castle Howard, the base for Brideshead Revisited. The holiday cottage makes the perfect base for exploring the North York Moors, the Yorkshire Wolds and the East coast.
The holiday rental makes an ideal base for an outdoor break, with a wealth of local footpaths and bridleways enabling walking from the doorstep. The Yorkshire village of Slingsby boasts a shop, a pub, a restaurant, a bakery selling home baked cakes, and a sports club which offers short term membership. All of these are within walking distance of the holiday cottage. The numerous market towns and picturesque villages nearby enjoy a wealth of restaurants and gastro pubs along with other attractions.

Ground floor: Sitting room with window seat and wood burning stove, with breakfast bar through to a well-equipped kitchen with stable door to the rear patio.
First floor: Double bedroom with 4'6' bed, exposed beams and window seat. Bathroom with roll top bath and hand-held spray attachment.
Electric storage heaters, underfloor heating in the upstairs bathroom, wood-burning stove.
Electric range cooker, microwave, fridge, small dishwasher. Freezer in locked outside store.
No washing machine.
TV, DVD player and a selection of DVDs are provided.
Enclosed private garden with garden furniture.
No land-line telephone (please note that mobile reception is very poor in the area.)
