Photos and Description of this 3 bedroom holiday cottage in Bridport - Adams Cottage
Three bedrooms, One bathroom, one shower room, sleeping 6 guests
This beautiful grade 2 listed, thatched holiday cottage, with origins dating back over 250 years, is nestled in the picturesque village of Powerstock. The village, an area of outstanding natural beauty deep in the West Dorset countryside, is mentioned in the Doomsday book and nestles at the foot of the ancient iron age fort of Eggardon Hill. There are numerous walks and cycle paths from the door.
A few minutes walk from the cottage takes you to the Norman church looking over the valley, and just beyond is the popular Three Horse Shoes public house with excellent local food and beer (Michelin guide - Eating Out in Pubs 2012). A little further on along a footpath is yet another pub (Good Pub Guide 2012).
The bustling market town of Bridport is 5 miles away and has twice weekly markets, many restaurants, supermarkets and a great array of local produce. It acts as a gateway town to the Jurassic Coast, the first natural World Heritage site designated in England. The coast at Burton Bradstock, managed by the National Trust, is 7 miles from the cottage.
