Our holiday home is a great place to relax. It has been furnished to a high standard and is an ideal seaside home for the whole family.

The design makes the most of all of the advantages of upside down living, providing long views from the living areas.

The bright and airy living room comfortably accommodates 6 people.

The well insulated space is generally warm but we have fitted a log burning stove for winter evenings. There is a DVD library and a selection of games to suit all ages.

A balcony leads off the living room and benefits from evening sun providing the perfect spot to sit and enjoy a 'sundowner'.

The living room leads directly into the kitchen diner, a sliding door can be used to partition the two rooms.

There is a table and chairs for six people.

The kitchen is well equipped with a full range of cooking utensils and dinnerware.

The third bedroom has been arranged to offer flexibility.

It could be used as a twin room, there is a full sized pull out bed under the single bed.

It could be used as a children's room with one single bed and a cot; we can provide a travel cot.

The bathroom has a full sized bath and over bath shower.

Downstairs to ground floor.

The front door leads into the hall, where there is storage for coats and shoes. There is also a toilet on this floor.

The utility room is accessed through the garage.

There is a 'dirty' sink and washing machine in the utility.

Access to the rear garden is through the utility room. At present the garden is laid to lawn and has a table and chairs for six people.

The garage is a useful storage area for bikes and beach equipment.

In front of the garage there is parking for 2 cars.

The house is newly built on land that was once part of the grounds to the Hythe Imperial hotel. The hotel has a spa and leisure complex, tennis courts and a golf course. It is possible to purchase day passes to use these facilities.

MODERN HOME - SUPERBLY DECORATED AND EQUIPPED.

  • 5 out of 5
As a group of 6 adults consisting of crew and 2 swimmers preparing to swim the English Channel, we found this house and its location to be an absolute gem.

Upon arrival, we were like kids in a sweet shop and bowled over by its space and pristine, modern décor. The three level split works well with the top floor offering views, tons of sunlight and two way air flow from balcony doors. The kitchen, dining and living areas were very well equipped which made cooking, staying in and just relaxing around the place a real joy.

We were very grateful for the WiFi facility which was essential whilst we waited for our swim window.

Having 3 bedrooms with a mixture of double and twin beds served us well. The cupboard space was very useful as was the choice of 2 bathrooms and additional toilet on the ground floor which meant no queuing in the mornings!

We had quite a lot of kit with us and so the garage was perfect to store this. After the swim, it was brilliant to be able to wash a few things and use the back garden to dry off some essentials, so much easier than lugging it all home in a sorry state!

Hythe turned out to be a surprise to us; we didn't expect such a lovely little town with varied selection of cafes, restaurants and beautiful canal. We were able to have daily dips in the sea, fresh seafood, coffees and patisseries as well as a spa treat. The information pack Andy and Eve provide is excellent, it details everything you need to know about the house and exploring Hythe and beyond.

We intend to return next year and have been most impressed with Eve and Andy’s helpful nature.

BEAUTIFUL HOUSE, CLOSE TO THE SEA - PERFECT

  • 5 out of 5
We're a French family of six who stayed in this beautiful house in Hythe. We loved the decoration and felt very at ease and comfortable in this modern house on three floors. We found everything we needed in the house and even more (a detailed guide made by the owners, drinks in the fridge, games and toys for the children, a hairdryer and so on...). The top floor is always warm and full of light.
The house is ideally situated 100m from the seaside and is a 10 minutes' walk from the canal and the town centre (which is actually pretty big for such a small town).
Everyone we met was nice and helpful and Eve and Andy have been very nice throughout our booking and stay. We are really grateful we found this house and recommend it to everyone. We'd love to go back!

Hythe is a lovely old town with a thriving high street and lots of open space.

Hythe, in the District of Shepway, is one of the five original Cinque Ports (pronounced sink, as in Norman French) on the 'Garden Coast' in South Kent. Four miles from the Channel Tunnel, four miles west of Folkestone and 16 miles south west of Dover.

A wide promenade overlooks a long stretch of beach and across the English channel to France.

The town of Hythe spreads up a hillside in a pleasing jumble of little streets, containing many interesting historic buildings. At the foot of the hill is the old and narrow and partly pedestrianised High Street. Hythe has many well regarded independent shops, cafes and restaurants, regular farmers' markets as well as supermarkets.

The 11th century St.Leonard's Parish Church has a famous crypt and ossuary (vaults containing the bones of early settlers).

Hythe has many recreational facilities.Golf, tennis, riding, bowls, squash, boating, wind-surfing, fresh-water and sea angling and bathing in the local indoor heated pools or the sea are all available.

A five-minute stroll from the house, brings you to the Royal Military canal. This was dug during the Napoleonic era (1804-15) as a defensive measure against possible French invasion. The banks of the Royal Military Canal provide delightful routes for walking and cycling, as does the varied local countryside.

Romney Marsh lies immediately west of the town, and may be explored either by car, bicycle, or by using the World's Smallest Public Railway. Hythe is the Eastern terminus of the famous Romney, Hythe and Dymchurch Light Steam Railway, which runs parallel to the coastline through Dymchurch and New Romney to Dungeness.

Hythe is a great base for exploring Kent.

Interesting and historic towns including Rye,Canterbury, Folkestone, Dover and Tenterden are all easily accessible.

Go shopping for bargains at the Designer Outlet near Ashford or pop to France through the Channel Tunnel.

Families will love days out to Brockhill park,Lympne Zoo, Romney Marsh,White Cliffs Country Park and Samphire Hoe.

If your interest is in WW2 history you will find plenty to inform and entertain you, don't miss the wartime tunnels at Dover Castle.

Great transport links even make trips to London and France very easy.
