Housed in a magnificent 17th Century private palace situated in the centre of Seville, this classic and elegant apartment is a wonderful option for those looking to stay in a traditional Andalucian house. The standout feature of the house is its stunning interior patio - complete with fountain, Roman pillars and individual balconies - around which daily life revolves. Located on the second floor of a large Sevillan town house, this three bedroom apartment is the perfect base from which to explore one of Spain´s most famous and romantic cities. The apartment itself is cool and elegant, and has been tastefully decorated in a traditional Andalucian style. Each of the rooms, from the living room to the bedrooms, look out into the beautiful inner patio, not only giving a wonderful view, but also ensuring that the apartment stays cool during the warmer months. The open-plan living and dining area is cool and elegant, and features both a sitting area and a dining table that seats up to six people. The modest kitchen comes fully equipped with everything you may need during your stay. The three bedrooms have each been individually decorated, yet all reflect the traditional Andalucian feel that runs throughout the apartment. The bathroom is bright and spacious, and features both a bath and shower. The apartment also has use of a large roof terrace complete with dining area, allowing guests to enjoy a spot of al-fresco dining whilst enjoying the fabulous views over the rooftops of Seville. Guests also have use of the communal area on the top floor of the house, which included laundry facilities and a small kitchen. Located in the heart of Seville´s old Jewish Quarter Santa Cruz, the apartment offers a vibrant and atmospheric home for guests during their time in the city. Santa Cruz is one of the oldest barrios in Seville, and is bursting with beautiful Gothic and Mudejar churches and traditional Andalucian buildings. As well as being ideally situated for nearby shops, services and restaurants, the property is within easy walking distance of many of the city´s most famous historical attractions, including the stunning Cathedral and ancient Alcázar. On Sunday mornings the nearby Alameda de Hércules is transformed into a popular and bustling market where you can buy everything from the local cuisine to traditional Andalucian handicrafts. With a great location and beautifully traditional interior, this magnificent property is a truly unique base from which explore the city. For larger groups, this property can be combined with Casa Palacio San Jose III or with one of the patio rooms. Garage available upon request suitable only for small cars. Surface area:120m2 + 55m2 private terrace + 100m2 communal terrace. 2nd floor with lift. The apartment is accessed through a private patio (communal areas) with a lift that leads up to the second floor. Entrance leads to a hall and fully equipped kitchen on the left. Straight ahead you reach the 24m2 living room furnished with a sofa, coffee table and chairs and a dining table to seat 4. There is also a small guest toilet. Bedroom 1 is accessed from the living room and contains one double bed (1.50m x 1.90m). Bedrooms 2 and 3 area accessed from the gallery which you can access from all rooms. Bedroom 2 and 3 have twin beds (0.90m x 1.90m). All bedrooms have built in cupboards and en suite bathrooms with bathtubs. The private terrace is accessed on the third floor. The terrace contains a table and chair to seat 6 people and a sunshade. Washing machine and drier are situated in the communal washroom (shared with 2 other apartments) situated on the loft where there is also access to more than 100m2 of communal terrace which are the photographs shown on our Web site.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here - two couples - and the location was very atmospheric and perfect for exploring Seville, going out for coffee or a drink and walking home after dinner.
We received a warm welcome from Aldo (and family) and the check-in and check-out was easy with our luggage stored until we were ready to go up to the apartment on the first day and leave on the last.
The only thing I would mention is that prospective renters should read the details carefully: they are accurate but perhaps not altogether clear at first glance. Many of the photos are of the shared roof terrace or entrance patio - very pretty but not actually within the apartment. It might be easy to think these were for your exclusive use. That said, we enjoyed the rooftop view and a drink upstairs on most evenings and the entrance was impressive and very typical of Seville. Also the second and third bedrooms are reached from the living room by a balcony: this is mentioned in the description and wouldn't be a problem unless you had small children you were expecting to be adjacent. Each bedroom has its own bathroom. There are currently no photographs of these other bedrooms which both have single beds. The living room has a small sofa and one comfortable chair and the dining table seats four. So perfect for spending most of the time out, but might be a bit cosy for six adults. But then why would you eat at home in Seville??
Overall we were very pleased with the apartment and would recommend this unreservedly to friends looking for an atmospheric place to stay right in the centre.
