A classic west coast style Swedish villa in a very attractive location 25 m from the sea. There is only a boat house between the house and the sea so you can put the swimsuit on in the house and walk down the pier for a morning swim. The island has a reputation for its beauty and charm and for most of the time offering sunshine and a clear blue sky. The road 'Rosenvägen' (Rosestreet) is well known for its roses and wedding photos are often taken by the house. There is an easy access to the sea and most inhabitants have there own boats. Ferries can take you to beautiful island like Marstrand, Åstol, Dyrön and more. Take the chance to rent kayaks to really get the full archipelago experience close to natural life of birds, fishes and vegetation. There are two restaurants on the island, the well-known Salt & Sill with a menu typical for the west coast, sauna and recreation area and Kylen which is a more public restaurant for every day dining just 5 min from the house. The island has a grocery store with a good variety of choices and a fish store with fresh local fish, 10 min walk from the house. The 135 m2 house has three bedrooms (one with a double bed 160 cm, one with two 100 cm, one with a bunk bed), a large living room with an open fire, a cosy kitchen, a TV-room with bed sofas, two toilets, a terrace by the entrance and a sunny balcony facing south. In total 6 beds for adults (+ bedsofa for 2) and 3 for kids (small bedsofa and baby bed).
My dream was to have a house on the beautiful west coast of Sweden, not far from where I grew up. When I met my partner he was enrolled in the vision too. Only one year later the dream came true - we have found our little paradise!
First time we arrived on the island we both knew this was it. We fell in love with the beautiful ocean surrounding the island, the white wooden houses, the red boat houses, rose gardens, picturesque narrow streets and the old charm of a fisherman village. And right in the middle of it all, our charming house.
Klädesholmen is one of the most picturesque and typical west coast island in Bohuslän. The house is located in the oldest part of the island with architectural heritage from the fisherman era, from as early as the 1700 century. Named by some as - the jewelry of the island, with small pedestrian streets and old wood houses. The area has been very well preserved with lots of charm. From the mainland you access by bridges and you can access to parking near house with your car.
