You can explore the breathtaking North Devon & Cornwall coastline with spectacular cliffs and sandy beaches, ideal for surfing, swimming, sailing and sub aqua diving. Bude is just 20 minutes away with its sandy beaches, restaurants and shops. The market towns of Tavistock, Holsworthy, Launceston & Oakhampton are within easy driving distance.
Nearby attractions include the Otter Sanctuary, where you can walk amongst deer & wallabies and the Alpaca Centre, just 10 minutes away. This is a great place to stay if you enjoy walking, fishing, cycling, sailing and other outdoor pursuits. Dartmoor is visible from the house and can be reached by car in 20 minutes.
Padstow, Tintagel and the Eden Project are all easily accessed from Ashwater. Plymouth offers all the city attractions including bowling,theatre the cinema, ice skating and even boasts a dry ski slope!
Day trips out to South Devon are also a nice way to spend a day with attractions like Salcombe, Newton Ferris, Burgh Island & Dartmouth
