Here is the perfect apartment, right in the centre, offering a high standard of comfort in a stylish, attractive interior. If you are looking for an interesting place to stay, which has character and comfort, and which is extremely well equipped, then this is for you. It offers excellent value for money for large families and groups who want to be really central.
Our apartment oozes with history and character. It is located in one of London's historic 'mews' streets, where the horse-drawn carriages of the wealthy Bloomsbury intellectuals would draw up. Charles Dickens lived just around the corner.
The mews still has the original cobblestones while the properties along its length are built from the mellow London brick, characteristic of the 1800's. You can easily imagine yourself living in a wealthy neighbourhood from a Dickens novel. Not surprisingly these houses and flats are now highly desirable residences, with potted plants on the cobbles outside the doors and pretty flowering window-boxes in the summer. Our apartment is on the first floor ( one floor up from the ground floor) of one of these very attractive 200-year-old buildings. Because this is a mews, there is no through-traffic, so our apartment is amazingly peaceful and quiet for a residence in the very centre of London.
The interior has been completely refurbished to a very high specification We have a beautiful original oak floor throughout, with attractive beds, high quality mattresses, and lovely furnishings and bedding. Our traditional sash windows (typical of London) let in loads of light and add to the character of the apartment. Yet all the facilities are updated and modern, with two full bathrooms (with showers) and a well equipped kitchen.
Best of all, our apartment is just two minutes away (really) from the Tube station at Russell Square - and that's on the direct Tube line from Heathrow. So if you are arriving at Heathrow you can quickly reach your accommodation without having to change trains or heave your luggage around. A real bonus!
The apartment is also very convenient for arrivals at St Pancras train station. Our Tube station at Russell Square is just one stop away from St Pancras (for the Eurostar trains to Europe), or it's a very easy walk from St Pancras to the apartment down a straight road.
Bloomsbury is also the perfect central area from which to explore London. Please do Google it. You can easily walk to so many tourist sights, and because the Tube station is so close it's really convenient. Our apartment is particularly close to Covent Garden (for the shops and restaurants) and to Theatreland if you fancy a London show. The British Museum is just a short walk. Nowhere is far away, so even if you take a taxi back it will be a short journey and therefore it will not be expensive.
The apartment has three full-size double bedrooms, and the beds have high-quality mattresses, comforters and linens so that you really feel you're staying in a good hotel. There is also a folding bed, suitable for a child or small adult, so we can accommodate a group of seven. The three bedrooms are very similar in size, space and attractiveness, so no one will feel they have 'pulled the short straw' !
The shower rooms each have a shower cubicle, sink, mirrored toiletries cupboard and WC. We provide clothes airers and we will give you plenty of soft egyptian cotton towels,
There is a spacious sitting room with coffee table, dining table big enough for 8, satellite TV, and superfast wifi which is free.
The kitchen is just off the sitting room, offering all you would need for self-catering.... a hob, oven, microwave, fridge-freezer, washing machine/dryer, toaster and kettle. We have provided lovely glassware and attractive white crockery.
The flat is well heated with gas central heating.
The character of the accommodation is really highlighted by the lovely old oak flooring throughout, which gives a warm homely feel.
The apartment is on the first floor. Please note, in the UK this means it is one level up from the ground floor. It has its own front door at street level, leading to stairs (about 12) up to the first floor, and then another door into the sitting room, making it very safe. The whole apartment is on the same level.
Best of all the location of the apartment is hard to beat. It really is right in the heart of the centre of London, so you can walk to most of the places you'll want to visit, and you are surrounded by an area filled with interesting cafe's and restaurants.
The other big difference between our apartment and many others are the personal touches we offer. We are not a rental company, just an English couple who adore London and enjoy introducing others to all it has to offer. We have lovingly furnished and decorated the apartment to this very high standard because we really want our guests to have a fantastic time - happy guests mean more to us than high profits. So unlike some apartments, you will not find cheap beds, cheap mattresses, hard pillows...or any of the other horrors you can find with the squeeze-every-penny-of-profit apartment rental companies. We pride ourselves on giving a very friendly, helpful and professional service. We want you to feel you made exactly the right choice!

Hello. I'm really pleased you like the look of my apartment enough to want to know about the owner. Until recently, I have had a really busy life as the MD of a research company, but now I just do occasional research projects and spend the rest of the time looking after this apartment and its guests. I absolutely love it !
I have always been a bit pernickety about detail. At home I'm one of those people who arranges the glassware in neat rows, shines the cooker every time it has been used, and has to place the cushions in exactly the right place on the sofa - you know the sort! So I think I'm quite well qualified to run a rental like this.
My philosophy is not to squeeze every last drop of profit out of running the apartment, but rather to get satisfaction from seeing people arrive and like what they see, and then at the end to hear how comfortable they have been and what a great time they've had. That is so much more pleasurable than a few extra pounds in the bank.

I looked at loads of properties in London before I saw this one, but the minute I stepped inside I knew this was absolutely right. It's bright and airy, really well laid out, with loads of space. Above all, it has a lovely feeling of character and space.
What makes this apartment unique
The location couldn't be better....
* it's truly right in the centre of London, near to just about everything
* The Tube station is right around the corner, no more than a 2 minute walk
* It's on the Piccadilly line, so you can travel in directly from Heathrow, without any changes, and be at the apartment very quickly
* St Pancras train station (for trains to Europe) is just up the road, either a walk or one stop on the Tube
* It's in a quiet cobbled mews with a real historic feel
* There is a shopping centre round the corner, with two good supermarkets plus lots of cafe's and restaurants
* London's best restaurant districts - Lambs Conduit St and Covent Garden - are really close
* Theatreland is really close
* It has good bedrooms of roughly equal size, so no one pulls the 'short straw'
