Alan and Caroline
We are a family of five who have much enjoyed holidays and weekends in CBC as we call it. We (Alan and Caroline) both work in London and CBC has been our haven. Our children are now grown up but still come down when they can.
We fell in love with it when we first saw it. It is on the edge of the moor with fabulous walks right from our door step. The scenery is breathtaking and we sleep so well after a day's walking, with the sound of the babbling stream lulling us to sleep. The hamlet of Combe is a friendly haven, and the village of Scoriton, just 5 minutes away, has a wonderful pub with great beer and a warm welcome. It is very easy to access - just 10 minutes off the A38. Above all it is a beautiful, serene and peaceful place to be.
The combination of beautiful cottage, replete with all creature comforts and ability to absorb large numbers with barely a murmur, and the extraordinary wild varied scenery of Dartmoor on our doorstep, makes this the perfect sanctuary.
