Wow! A home from another era. Direct waterfront air conditioned estate on Plymouth Harbor. Antique Victorian home on 3 acres with rolling emerald green lawn to waterfront. Swim and boat on your own private beach. We provide 6 kayaks and a sailboat with small outboard for our guests to enjoy and explore the oceanfront area free of charge. State of the art grill and two large decks overlooking harbor with tremendous privacy. Old English croquet and volleyball court on back lawn. This property is the perfect summer vacation on a waterfront estate for all your friends and family. Pets possible - please ask. This home is also available off season. Stay for a long weekend and just relax by the sea at any time during the year.
We supply 6 kayaks for our guests to use free of charge. Our guests really love to launch the kayaks right from our waterfront property. I also have a mooring right in front of the house so you can use that too. If you want more adventure, you can rent jet skis or a larger motor boat from a boat rental company right down the street. This is a real treat because you can explore all the secluded beaches in the area, tour the harbor, go fishing, etc.
Spend your whole day relaxing on your very own private 1000 sq ft waterfront deck. Although there is so much to do right in Plymouth, you may end up spending most of your time on the huge main deck right off from the kitchen (deck dimensions 32' x 30'). It has 3 umbrella tables and spacious seating for 16 people. This deck also has a large stainless steel gas grill for all your grilling needs and separate propane lobster pot cooker, so you can cook 10 lobsters at a time right on the deck. This is the perfect place to gather with friends, have a couple drinks with great food, or sit back quietly in the sun with a book and bathing suit. If you get hot, just turn on the outdoor shower and cool down. There is also another deck off of the refinished barn with tons of privacy and shade and breathtaking ocean views. Watch your family and friends have a friendly game of volleyball right below in the soft emerald green grass. Also, another large outdoor enclosed shower is right down the deck stairs. You'll feel like you're a million miles away from it all.
In this home you will find three living rooms and three flat screen TVs with high speed wireless internet. This home is perfect for the extended family. These three large living rooms all nicely furnished with plenty of space to stretch out. In the main living room in the center of the house, there is a 50' plasma TV so the whole family can gather around and watch the game. If you do not have a laptop or tablet, we do have a laptop available for guest use in one of our living rooms. For the summertime, we have both central air and air conditioning window units, so you'll be comfortable and cool even on the hottest summer day. In the fall and winter seasons we have a new state of the art heating system, and guests may also build a fire in the large fireplace in the formal living room or the wood stove near the kitchen to get into the holiday spirit.
This was the trip of a lifetime, and it would not have been the same if we had stayed anywhere else. The 5 of us had more room than we knew what to do with. The boys tried out different bedrooms on different nights, and found all of them to be perfect. Each has its own unique style, and once they stopped getting lost (quite humerous!) they were able to play and have a grand time going up one staircase and down another.
Our three children had a fantastic time running around on the lawn and we had a great time exploring the beach for shells.
I have never felt so comfortable anywhere away from home. We were able to "move" right in for our one-week stay, and the only thing I regret is not being able to stay longer. There are books and toys for the kids (the owner even gave them a football), sheets, towels, and everything else you need to feel immediately at home. It is clean, extremely well-kept, and enough to make any family or group want to move in for good!
The owner went out of his way to meet us on our timeframe and explain everything to us. He was fantastic.
The property is close to EVERYthing, including Plymouth Rock, Plymouth Plantation and the Mayflower II.
I cannot say enough about how wonderful of a time we had, and how much was added to our vacation by staying in this home. I would absolutely recommend it to anyone going to visit the area! Everyone I know is jealous after seeing our vacation pictures...We will return if we ever have the opportunity.
THANK YOU for adding so much to our Thanksgiving trip, Jim!
Normally when we rent a home for vacations we use it as a home base, spending little time there, mostly sight seeing. This place is so good I could stay there all week, never leaving, making it the whole vacation. It has everything. We had so much fun I had photo albums made and gave one to everyone who joined us there. This beautiful home or manor (it's huge) is unbelievable.
The rooms in most of this historic home, the bedrooms, living rooms, dining room and halls were kept in their original state. This includes all the trim, and then adding all the antique furnishings made it look and feel like a museum. It is truly a comfortable home. The rest of the house was modernized for todays conveniences. This made for perfect vacation. When not touring, we kayaked, fished, had one huge volleyball tournament on the front lawn and had a big birthday party which included a lobster boil. We only put a dent in all the things to see and do on Cape Cod and plan to come back next year for more. This place is incredible.
Thank Uni and Jim. You two were great.

We just got home, having rented the house for Thanksgiving and to celebrate a big birthday. Not easy finding a place on the water that holds 19 people (and one small dog), and this house did that, easily. The sprawling layout was perfect for the group, especially given the weather. The kids played games, including ping pong, chess and volley ball. What a wonderful few days. We are so tempted to come back in the summer as this is a truly special place.
My daughter got married at Plimoth Plantation and we rented this house for the week leading up to her big day. We had family and friends coming in from out of town and thought it would be nice to all be together in one space. It was perfect! This house was exactly as described and even better than depicted in the pictures. There was plenty of space for everyone - we had 20 people stay over one night. We spent a lot of time in the kitchen/family room area, but there were lots of spaces if you wanted some quiet time. The deck was beautiful and it was nice to have supper out there while enjoying the view. The room behind the barn was a hidden gem - a great spot for a quiet read or a nice nap. The yard was spectacular - we played frisbee, croquet, football, etc. Having the 7 kayaks available to us was an added treat that we took advantage of - so fun!
The home was spotless when we arrived with fresh flowers on the table. There are more than enough towels and linens for all guests and the kitchen is well equipped.
It was nice to be able to walk to downtown Plymouth and Plimoth Plantation - about a mile in either direction of the house. One night we drove to Cordage Park to have dinner at RooBar - really good!
Don't hesitate if you're thinking of renting this beautiful home. I would go back in a heartbeat! Thanks Jim!!
Stayed for a week in May - fantastic place! Would stay again in a heartbeat. House comfortably slept 20+ on two of the nights and accomodated a family gathering of 40+ on the Saturday afternoon. The setting made it a truly memorable day. Barn was a great place to set up tables for a sit-down dinner, with plenty of room around the yard and house for people to sit and chat, play volleyball and Frisbee, and enjoy the views of Plymouth Harbor and Bay. Good-sized kitchen for cooking and gathering, well-equipped with utensils, pots and pans, appliances, etc. Lots of linens, pillows and towels in the house as well.
Loved sitting in the Adirondack chairs on the landing overlooking the harbor in the evenings. There are stairs that go down to a nice little beach that's perfect for exploring/beachcombing. Close to downtown Plymouth but still felt very private. On our "quiet days" we had 4-8 people staying at the house and found plenty of spaces - from the two decks to the spacious living rooms - for downtime and relaxing.
The owners are superb hosts - extremely helpful and accomodating, went out of the way to explain everything and make sure we had what we needed. I can't say enough about how beautiful this site is - it really made for the perfect week.
Just got back from a great weekend in Plymouth! The house is amazing and is everything the owner Jim said it would be, so no need to worry if the description is wrong or outdated. The house is huge and the set up is great. Love the huge deck with grill as well as the barn with its own deck overlooking the ocean. The backyard is enormus and is great for lawn games. Plenty of space to sleep and hang out. The location is close to downtown Plymouth, but away from all the traffic, etc. The communication with Jim, the owner, was great and we will be back next year. Thank you!
In Plymouth, you truly get the best of both worlds, but without the Cape traffic! Take the high speed train from Plymouth to Boston if you want to explore one of America’s most vibrant cities, or take the ferry right from Plymouth Harbor to Provincetown to experience the very best Cape Cod has to offer. See your very first humpback whale on a small whale watch leaving right from Plymouth Harbor, or et the kids have the time of their lives on a Pirate Cruise! Visit Plimoth Plantation, located in walking distance from our home, a living museum demonstrating how history was forged in America. Grab a beer and a burger on Plymouth Beach at Sandy’s, also located about a mile away from our home. Walk down Long Beach, a pristine sandy beach with break taking views and where history seems to have stood still. Another couple miles in the other direction of our quite estate and you will find the most vibrant bar and restaurant scene on the South Shore! In downtown Plymouth, there are dozens of bars and restaurants for you to choose from, almost all with great water views. But the best part of your stay will come right on your very own oceanfront estate, where you can have a waterfront cookout on our 1000ft deck with your family and friends!
