This lovely 2 bedroom/2 bathroom apartment is in the luxury development of Mirador d' Costalita right beside the prestigious Los Flamingos golf course, 4 miles from the lively Spanish town of San Pedro and 6 miles from the cosmopolitan resort of Puerto Banus. There is much to do and see in this wonderful area during the day and so many fabulous restaurants and bars in which to spend your evenings before retiring to the apartment's large south-west facing terrace to watch the sun go down. The apartment also has another 2 terraces to catch the sun in the morning. Outside, the beautiful tropical gardens with water features and a dazzling swimming pool (including a small pool and play area for young children), are completely enclosed. Inside the spacious, 1st floor apartment (with lift access) is furnished and decorated to a high standard with marble floors and terracotta tiling throughout. Equipped with all the modern amenities it will appeal to both families and golfing parties alike.

Our apartment is beautifully furnished throughout.

All rooms are off a marble tiled hall. The kitchen is fitted with Bosch equipment and there is a separate utility room with a washing machine, clothes airier, iron and ironing board. The main living area is larger than standard holiday apartments with a dining table and settees that comfortably seat 6 people. The dining and living room furniture is light oak and the dining chairs are brown leather. Sliding doors lead out onto a terrace with views to the spectacular mountains where you can enjoy outdoor dining from morning 'til night. There are 2 sleeper reclining chairs to snooze away warm afternoons.

The smaller terrace off the kitchen also has a table with chairs for early morning coffee overlooking the beautiful gardens.

The master bedroom, with its 5' bed, is furnished in traditional dark wood furniture with sumptuous matching curtains and bedding. It has a full en suite bathroom with a separate shower cubicle and bath. The 2nd bedroom has twin beds and is furnished in white Shaker-style furniture. There is also a very comfortable Z-bed supplied. The 2nd bathroom is tiled in terracotta and also has a shower and bath. Both bedrooms have terraces.

Yes, they were all right: this is, indeed, a fantastic apartment in a very attractive and peaceful complex. It is a very spacious, tastefully decorated and well-designed space that is more than adequate for four (or five) people. There is plenty of wardrobe and storage space, too, as well as just about all the practical items you might want to have/use when staying away from home. The information file provided in the apartment is comprehensive and will help you satisfy all your eating, drinking, leisure and shopping needs and cravings. Again, as others have commented, the apartment was spotlessly clean when we arrived.

The location is very good, being within easy striking distance of shops, bars, restaurants, beaches, golf courses, the attractions of Puerto Banus, Marbella, Estepona and inland to places like Gaucin and Ronda. We know the area reasonably well, but if you didn`t, Valerie`s information manual (see previous para.) is a great resource to consult.

If I made this review much longer I would mostly be repeating all the positive comments that others have made. However, I just want to highlight two final issues: communication with Valerie (the owner) was excellent before during and after the rental and I prize this efficient exchange of information. Secondly, this property rental represents, I believe, very good value for money.

So, all in all, a great property in a great environment and rented by a great owner.

A Wonderful apartment !!!

Having come back 3 weeks ago from valeries apartment i would like to say we had the most wonderful time. The apartment was lovely very spacious extremely clean, it had everything we could of wanted !!
I went with my husband, 16 yr old and 8 yr old , They loved the pool and made some lovely friends, everything was so well kept in the gardens and around the pool.There was swing set which my daughter enjoyed using.
There was a lot to do in the surrounding areas , Valerie left a folder with lots of information about restaurants ,days out ,shopping etc.
We really didn't want to come home i would recommend valeries apartment to everyone. Valerie is so lovely and will do everything to make sure you have a great holiday.

Great apartment in a brilliant location

We stayed here for a week in September, and have above average weather which was perfect - sun and clear blue skies for the whole week.

The apartment is really nice, and very spacious. It's on a private complex with well-maintained gardens and a great pool. There is also a small pool for children which we found really useful.

The location is ideal.The complex itself is nice and quiet, but popular and lively resorts and attractions are just a short drive away. You can get to Puerto Banus in 10 minutes, which is a great place to spend an upmarket evening - it's really tranquil and full of great sights like playboy yachts and supercars.

We also visited Ronda - a town with an old section thats built on a gorge with an amazing vista that you could spend hours looking at, as well as Gibraltar and Marbella. There are also water parks and a safari park within easy driving distance for family days out.

An ideal holiday flat

This is a beautiful flat with bags of room. It is stylishly furnished. There are three balconies, one of them serving both the sitting room and main bedroom. This can be used conveniently for outdoor eating and barbecues. The gardens around the three storey blocks are immaculately maintained with plenty of greenery and water features. The main swimming pool is kidney shaped and about 30 yards long with sunbeds and shade at the water's edge.

The beach is about a kilometre away. The weather was usually too hot to walk it. When one gets there, there is a large and fairly grand beach bar/restaurant which serves grilled fresh fish and the like. There is a good beach of light sand with thatched round sunshades. Sunbeds etc are rented at reasonable rates (compared to Italy). My daughter, was able to work at her computer in the bar where free wi-fi was available.

We loved the flat and would return.

Second To None......!!

Absolutely fantastic....everything you could think of to make the apartment a home from home. Spotlessly clean and so big and roomy. Very comfortable beds and furniture, and every aspect of the apartment has been given a lot of attention, right down to the beautiful pictures throughout. Loads of storage space, loads of towels, cleaning products etc - the utility room off the kitchen is large also with everything you need. The balconies are great, had breakfast out there every morning, and a couple of evenings there were fireworks going off from the beach, bottle of wine...couldn't get better! As for places to eat, you're spoilt for choice, every taste catered for, Valerie gave us some good pointers. Great location also, go anywhere on the Costa Del Sol within an hour, from Gibraltar to Malaga - we travelled all over, the water park, birds of prey sanctuary up the cable cars on the mountain top, and of course all the dozens of blue flag beaches. Couldn't ask for a better time, and the next visit to the Costa Del Sol we will be booking early to ensure we get the apartment again - and I never usually book the same place twice.

The property is situated on the edge of the small village of Cancelada less than an hour's drive from the airport, with restaurants, supermarket, bars and even a bank, all within walking distance.

Close by is the town of San Pedro which has a large variety of shops and restaurants. Stylish Puerto Banus is about 5 miles along the coast. The ever popular resort of Estepona is a few kilometres to the west and a trip to Gibraltar is a 'must' for all first time visitors. For the culture-vultures the historic towns of Ronda and Granada are to the north.

The beach at Costalita is within easy reach where there are bars and restaurants for snacks during the day. For families there are two water parks at Mijas/Fuengirola and Torremolinos and Selwo Safari Park and Tivoli World for the younger children. For golfers there is a huge choice of courses nearby to suit all abilities.
