Great apartment, Great people. Incredible View.
We stayed at Gaudi's Nest in early 2014. Each apartment has a stunning view of the Nativity side of Sagrada Familia. There are no buildings between the apartments and Basilica, only a nice park and pond. The view gets even better when you head to the rooftop terrace. Be sure to check the photos and videos. What you see there is what you can expect when you arive.
Our apartment was large and very clean. Two large windows had a clear view of the Basilica. The bedrooms face a fairly calm street and have their own small balconies. The apartment had a large fridge, electric smoothtop range, oven, reverse osmosis water filter and clothes washer.
Please note that the building does not have an elevator. Our apartment was on the six floor by US standards, so I wouldn't recommend this to people with mobility problems. The owners do have an apartment in a different building that does have an elevator that has the same great views.
Artur and Joana and their staff are great hosts. They are really committed to their guests. They arranged for an aiport pickup and dropoff for only slightly more than the cost of a taxi. They also included a bottle of Cava sparkling wine and a coupon for free tapas in their restaurant.
Artur recently opened a small restaurant next to the building. The food was fantastic. Be sure to try the traditional Catalonian breakfast. Delicious and way more food than we could possibly eat.
Barcelona is a great city and these are the best apartments in town. We'll definitely stay here again.
