If you are planning to travel to Amsterdam with your significan other or best friend, and you have never been here before, you must have a lot of questions: is this apartment in a safe neighboorhood? is there a supermarket nearby? where can I find an ATM? how long does it take from the airport? where can we rent bikes? where will I get the keys? ... Well, I can answer all those questions via skype today. Just contact me and I'll be more than happy to arrange a Skype meeting. Now a bit about the apartment. Romantic Nest is, obviously, a romantic apartment with canal view, located just opposite the most famous Cultural Park of the city, in the trendy Westerpark neighbourhood of Amsterdam.
In fact just across the bridge there is the Park with the same name and the Westergasfabriek, a former gas factory transformed into one of the city's most thriving creative hotspots. The grounds are home to numerous bars, restaurants, TV studios, a cinema and a theatre; these renovated industrial buildings and spacious park regularly host events ranging from major club nights to art exhibitions and culinary happenings. A famous Sunday market is held each first Sunday of the month. Since the apartment is only 10 minutes by bus from Amsterdam’s Central Station allows one to have accessible travel anywhere in the world. Moreover the extensive tram, bus and taxi system makes one feel free to go anywhere. A 10 minutes walk from the apartment is the famous Jordaan district with its shopping streets such as Haarlemmerdijk, Westerstraat and Lindengracht, offering independent boutiques and specialty stores, little salons, trendy but affordable bars and restaurants. This is a romantic and cozy 45 sq meter apartment with big windows, wood floor, comfortable double bed, dining area with open kitchen and a lovely little balcony that gives one a connection with the Dutch and their neighborhood that is difficult to confer. It overlooks one of the city’s famous canals and enjoys natural light from its large windows. The apartment’s bedroom has a comfortable double bed with bed lamps, a big wardrobe, a small desk and a mirror. The sitting area has a comfortable sofa and a flat-screen TV. The dining area offers a table with chairs. The convenience of the kitchen situated on the boarder of the living room adds to the coziness and charm you will feel.
The bathroom has a shower, a sink and a WC. Located on the second floor gives an added feeling of security and a bit of a built in health club being that there is no elevator. It is a non smoking apartment and is ideal for a couple.
Facilities include a fridge, freezer, oven, internet, TV, DVD player, DVDs and books.

I am Italian but live in Amsterdam since 2000. I love this city and enjoy cruising around with my bike. I know every corner of it! I also love travelling to places where I know someone who can show me around and help me feel like a local, not just a tourist!
Many years ago I started to rent out my home to other travellers because I wanted to share my love and knowledge for Amsterdam and show what a great place it can be just with a bike and tips from a local. I truly hope you can enjoy Amsterdam as much as I do.
I'll do my best to make you feel at home here. How do I do it? First of all giving you a detailed map with loads of tips about restaurants, museums, coffee places where only locals go. Secondly providing you with tickets for anything you would like to see in advance, to avoid you waste of time. Transport cards, bikes, reservations for restaurants... Anything you might need!
I now manage other self-catered apartments in the city. If my home is already booked I can always offer you some alternative. Friendly and professional: that's what best describes my work ethics. Looking forward to welcoming you here.
I really like this apartment because it is romantic, cosy and comfortable. The view on the canal from the bedroom, the colour of the bed linen, the lamps that turn on and off just with a finger-touch, the lovely little balcony, the decorations... It's just a little jewel, ideal for a couple. It is the perfect home to spend quality time with your significant other after an intense day of exploring the city.
Location is fantastic, tram stop just around the corner; Jordaan and shops are very nearby, you can go on foot. Very romantic and cozy feeling. The view on the water gives you a feeling of peace and tranquillity. The Sunday market held there each first Sunday on the month is great. And all the bars and restaurant in the park are great. I love to have lunch at Bakkerswinkel, for instance.
