2 bedroom, 1 bathroom and open plan living space

Situated 2 miles from Broadway, Ena's Place was a barn but was converted and extended in 2013 to create a lovely two bedroom single storey home. It forms one side of a courtyard, with 'Dilly Dally' @ Slade Barn and the owners' house making up the rest of the 'U'. Full length windows along one side of the barn make the most of wonderful views across the Vale of Evesham to the Cotwolds and the Bredon Hills. Guests are welcome to sit and relax in the courtyard or to make use of the owners' spacious garden. For those who want to explore the Cotswolds but enjoy perfect peace this could be the place for you. There is ample off road parking for 2- 3 cars. Non crawling babies and children over 7 welcome. The Inn and Brasserie at Childswickham, less than a mile away, serves good food.

Optional guided walks by local, experienced walk leader which can be tailormade to suit your requirements.

Enter the barn into the hallway. This is an ideal space for leaving shoes and coats.

OPEN PLAN LIVING AREA WITH SITTING AREA, DINING AREA AND KITCHEN

Off the hall is the open plan living area, with beams and a lovely brick fireplace and wood burning stove, welcoming you to Ena's Place.

The sitting room is open plan with the kitchen and dining area at one end of the room.

The sitting area is fully carpeted and has an attractive, three seater sofa and arm chair. Entertainment facilities include a television with DVD/Blue Ray player and a digital radio/CD player with USB port for MP3 player.

To one end of the sitting room is the kitchen/dining area. The kitchen is well equipped with fitted cupboards on two walls and granite effect worktops with a stainless steel single sink with mixer tap. The floor area has ceramic tiles. Appliances include a ceramic electric hob with fan oven, slimline dishwasher, refrigerator with ice box, microwave, toaster and cafeteria.

Currently guests are able to use the owner's washing machine and tumble dryer by arrangement (there is plumbing ready to install these in the cottage at a later date. If this is important, please check first to see when this is being done).

BEDROOM ONE

The bedrooms are much the same size and are numbered to avoid confusion only.

Bedroom One has a Super King bed (six foot wide) which is a zip and link bed and can be split to form two, three foot wide beds if required. There are bedside cabinets on each side of the bed with lamps to read by, a wardrobe with hanging and shelves and an armchair.

BEDROOM TWO

Bedroom Two has a Super King bed (six foot wide). There is a bedside cabinet on each side of the bed with lamps and a wardrobe with hanging and shelves. Full length free standing mirror.

BATHROOM

This has a white bathroom suite with bath with shower over the bath, shower screen, basin and wc. Mirror over the basin.

GARDEN

You are welcome to use the owners garden. Also, the courtyard at the front of the barn is a suntrap and ideal for outdoor meals.

For 2014 there will be an additional garden area at the side of the barns for the use of Ena's Place and Dilly Dally.

PARKING

There is off road private parking for 3 - 4 cars.

Childswickham in Worcestershire is located within the flat open landscape of the Vale of Evesham, between the Bredon and Cotswold Hills, two miles from Broadway. It is an area of market gardening, arable and pasture land, with surrounding fields defined by hedgerows. The glorious, uninterrupted views make this a very special place.

On the edge of the North Cotswolds it has a mixture of building styles, Cotswold limestone, red brick and traditional Worcestershire black and white half timber and thatch. The earliest buildings are timber framed with wattle and daub and Cotswold limestone, and the 15th century spire of the original Norman church, St Mary the Virgin, is a local landmark that can be seen from miles around.

Just 2.5 miles away, Broadway’s wide High Street is lined with horse chestnut trees and contains a mixture of period houses and picturesque Cotswold stone cottages. Located on an ancient “ridgeway”, the village was on the main road from London to Worcester. On such an important route it is inevitable that it is steeped in history. During the English Civil War King Charles I conferred with his confidants at The Lygon Arms Hotel.

Broadway is a shopper???s paradise. Small boutiques, designer jewellers and gift shops vie with fine quality antique furniture and galleries for attention, whilst a variety of cafés, tea shops, pubs and restaurants cater to all tastes and budgets.

Childswickham forms an ideal base for visiting the Cotswold's numerous villages, including Chipping Campden, and is within easy reach of such places as Stratford upon Avon with its Shakespeare Theatre, Warwick with the finest medieval castle in England, Regency Cheltenham, Oxford with its University Colleges, Bath with its Roman Baths and so much more.

Hidcote Garden, owned by the National Trust and world renowned is just a short drive away and, almost opposite, is Kiftsgate Garden which is well worth a visit.
