My wife and had been coming to Kauai for over 30 years and always dreamed of buying a house here and after years of saving we took the leap and bought Hale Niu. We knew we were going to need help paying the mortgage if we were going to be able to retire here so we rented it as a vacation rental. Unfortunately my wife died suddenly in Dec. 2008 which left me lost after 42 years together but I knew she would want me to try and keep the house which I've been able to do. However as the resession has deepened and rentals have drastically fallen off I'm barely hanging on and hoping things turn around soon so I can keep our dream alive.
Tim purchased this house in 2006

The house is within walking distance of the beach, markets, restaurants, stores, walk/bike path and churches (Kauai has more churches per capita than any place else in the USA). Wonderful large front grass yard with loads of coco palms. A little taste. of paradise
