Empuries’s house is located in a quiet neighbourhood of Sóller and stands at the foot of the breathtaking hiking trails of the Tramuntana mountain range. Our neighbourhood exudes a family feeling, where the children play while the elderly chit-chat by the old fountain. Empuries house is over 300 years old and has been completely renovated. Our first aim in the restoration was to preserve all the traditional elements of the building.

Empuries de Abajo is a duplex of 126 square metres. On the ground floor there is an open space with a dining and living-room which leads to a gorgeous Mallorquin patio. The patio has a dining set surrounded by native plants like an orange tree. It also has a toilet and a fully equipped kitchen. On the first floor you’ll find a master bedroom, a second bedroom with two single beds, a bathroom and a big furnished terrace with marvellous views on the Tramuntana Range and the village.

A Summer Vacation in October/November

This was our second stay in this cosy apartment on the second floor (Arriba) with really nice views over the valley of Soller. You can even see the lighthouse from the Port from the terrace. The rooms where properly cleaned and the kitchen is fully equipped. The correspondence with Ema (the owner) before our trip was very informative and supportive. She always responded quickly to our requests.

We planned to hike around Soller and there are a lot of possibilities to do so. You don't need a car, because a lot of trails start/end here. To our surprise the weather was so nice and warm, that we went two times the beach and enjoyed the sun and water.

We also like the town very much. It's a living city with everyday life and not so much tourist-centered (with the exception of the Placa de Constitutio). There are a lot of Bars and Cafes to get your daily dose of cafe con leche. We can strongly recommend the Bar Molino which is around the corner with very friendly staff. We also enjoyed a nice dinner at Ca'n Ai.

Around the (another) corner is the Cooperative Agricole de Soller. There they produce the tasty local olive oil. There is also an information center and a shop where you can buy local produce.

We liked it very much and would recommend this apartment (and Soller) without hesitation to a good friend and are already thinking about our return to Soller.

Unforgettable house

I would like to recommend this lovely house to spend your holidays in Spain. We felt at home is in this cozy place. We liked the fact that is an old charming place but with the commodities of a new one. We spent a lot of time on the terrace chilling out while admiring the great view. Viewing the sunset while having dinner outside is a must. We also used to have breakfast outside in the morning while weaking up...

The location of the house is perfect for trekking and walking through Empurie's range or other villages in the valley. Also we enjoyed a lot having tapas on the main square of Soller.

Soller has a lot to offer thanks to its privileged location in the range of Tramuntana. It boasts some serious trekking options, the highest peak being Puig Major at 4740 feet. You can also do easy walks in the valley alongside orange and lemon tree fields, as well as seaside walks.

Another enjoyable location is the beach at Soller’s port which offers a variety of water sports. There are other options like horse-riding, golf, etc. Two great hobbies you can develop on your holiday in Soller are exploring picturesque villages in the area and finding remote “calas” to enjoy your day by the seaside. When the evening comes it’s a must to stroll along the beautiful narrow streets of Soller and watch the local life passing by from the terraces of its many cafes and restaurants.
