Photos and Description of this 1 bedroom holiday home in Marylebone - Ashmill Street

1 bedroom, 1 bathroom quiet and cosy terrace house in cinematic Marylebone

Food habit

In Marylebone, good taste goes without saying. Nowhere more so than in a home like this. Suitable for sweet tooths and French superchefs, light lunches and roly-poly puddings, Ashmill Street will have you cooking up a storm. Its kitchen is a gastronome’s delight, all honeyed worktops and charcoal splashbacks glazed in a buttery sunshine. Between the barstool breakfast and intimate dinner à deux, you’ve a tasty home to tuck into. Designed by Sir Jeremy Dixon, this pint-sized pied-a-terre is new, cool and quaint. With all the treats of Oxford Street and Regent’s Park close at hand, just remember to leave room for dessert.

Working lunch

Your hostess earns her crust in the City. Away from the office, her passion is for bikes and motorcycles.

Tender

Tucked away on a Marylebone backstreet, this home is peaceful as well as piquant. Cast your eye across the creatively designed exterior, before gliding up the stairs, past the artwork and into the cosy sitting room. With its widescreen TV and L-shaped sofa that could scarcely be squishier, this is just the spot for slumping, aperitif in hand. And when it comes to cooking, you’ll find the kitchen has all the right ingredients. A stylish stew of black, white and wooden worktops, all is brand new and a-gleam. Perch on the bar stools for breakfast, or indulge in a romantic dinner for two at the glass table.

Downstairs, you’ll find the bedroom tinted a mellow yellow, with a wooden wardrobe and colourful artwork. Its double bed is, naturally, dressed in the crispest linen – just as the shiny bathroom swims in our White Company goodies and fluffy towels.

Sunny side up

Should you hunger for beauty, pack a picnic and feast on the idyll that is Regent’s Park. Lord’s is nearby, and when play stops for lunch, you’ve the diverse eateries of Edgware Road as well as St John’s Wood. Marylebone is graced with all manner of upmarket shops and dainty cafes, or you can opt for the main course by walking to Oxford Street. The tube can also whisk you over in just five minutes.
