Overview

Photos and Description of this 2 bedroom holiday apartment in Soho - Goodge Street

2 bedroom, 2 bathroom home nestled right in the heart of London

Sun, sea and sky

Somewhere between an art gallery and a beach house, Goodge Street takes relaxation to a whole new level. Slick, modern rooms are awash with sunshine, waves crash on the sitting room wall and the roof terrace is an urban paradise. And when finally you do descend, you’re right in the heart of the action. The best coffee, some of the hottest restaurants and the biggest concentration of commercial art galleries in London are on your doorstep. Oxford Street, Bond Street, Regent Street – it’s enough to sate even the most committed shopper. Whirl over to Covent Garden or wear your most serious face for the British Museum. Then, freed from the tyranny of catching the last tube, stay out way past your bedtime.

Aussie rules

Your jet-setting host is Australian, and he and his British partner also own a beachfront home in Sydney. They love the central location of their London pad, and when in town they can usually be found making the most of everything the city has to offer.

A real beaut

You’re up in the eaves, with windows and skylights on all sides, and this gives the living space a tremendous brightness, and, even in the heart of Zone One, a real rush of fresh air. The walls are white, the furniture’s contemporary, and the original artwork dazzlingly alive. There’s a brand new kitchen, and six can eat at the dining table, looking onto funky metal stairs up to the roof terrace. Both bedrooms are doubles, each with its own seductively mosaicked bathroom. And when the sun is setting, head to the roof for for a pre-dinner drink.

Down under

When morning comes, get to street level as fast as you can, because there’s just so much going on… The British Museum’s a couple of streets away, and closer still is Oxford Street, the capital’s top shopping destination. For something a bit less mainstream, try Covent Garden, a network of streets with independent boutiques and bars bathing in the glow from Theatreland. Or perhaps you’ll head right into the heart of Soho and through yourself in. Best of all, you’re so very central that you may not need to set foot upon the tube.

What makes this apartment unique

Booking a stay is as easy as booking a hotel room, with online payment and confirmation. You get the same attention to detail and personal service too.

Every home is properly cleaned before and after you stay, beds made (we can even do hospital corners) and bathrooms kitted out with luxury toiletries. There’s a maid service if you want it, as well as other hotel-style amenities.

Once we’ve helped you settle in, we’re just a call away, 24/7. If it’s something we can’t solve over the phone, we’ll pop over to lend a hand.

And because nobody wants to be a tourist, our homes come with personal and unique recommendations from the people who live in them – places to eat, things to do and adventures to go on.

Notes:
A welcome pack will be provided on arrival and an iPhone will be available for you during the duration of your stay. Home truths: The outdoor stairs leading to the roof terrace are narrow and steep, those who are less mobile will need to take special care. This home is available for bookings of four nights or more. This home is a classic tall Georgian townhouse, spread over four floors. Entry is on the first floor and the home is spread across the second and third floors. This home has lots of neighbours, therefore late night events and functions are not suitable. In July 2013, there will be some painting and redecorating work to the front of the building and communal stairs in business hours.
