Overview

Photos and Description of this 1 bedroom holiday apartment in Covent Garden - The Strand 2

1 bedroom, 1 bathroom home with a fantastic range of gadgets and gizmos

Going live

Once, it was the Gaiety Theatre. Then, the headquarters of Marconi, pioneers of the radio. And then, it was the first ever studio for the BBC. Such is this home’s great heritage, but the story doesn’t end there... This gleamingly new apartment has a clean aesthetic, with just a few choice pops of colour to enliven the pale contemporary décor. You’re in the centre of zone one, right next to the river, with theatreland so close that you can be back at home before the second curtain call. Eat out, shop on, and party as hard as you dare. If you decide to stay in, you’ve all the facilities of the neighbouring hotel at your disposal. And be sure to stand upon Waterloo Bridge as the sun sinks low, to take in one of the most iconic views in the world.

Production values

The man responsible for this fantastic pad works in horse racing, and he lives all around the world. He has a soft side, and when he’s in London, you’ll might find him at his favourite place - London Zoo.

On the air

As befits a building from which so much of the world’s technology first sprang, this home is kitted out with gadgetry right on the cutting edge. Think zonal lighting, an in-shower TV, and a surround sound system that’ll leave you giddy. The open plan living space is gorgeously minimalist, and every line counts, from the gleaming white kitchen to the designer couch. The artwork’s colourful and witty, and those penguins betray your host’s affection for the zoo.

The bedroom’s entirely comfortable, with little to distract you from our crisp white sheets, while the bathroom is as fabulous as any we’ve seen – forget books in the bath, this is entertainment on a whole new level.

Outside broadcast

Short of moving into the Royal Opera House, you couldn’t be any closer to Covent Garden’s piazza, where the cafes throb, statues spring to life, and some of the capital’s best shops vie for your custom. Catch an exhibition and some open air cinema at Somerset House, or cross the river for the National Theatre and the British Film Institute. So central you may not even need the tube and it’s impossible to run out of things to do.

About Owner / Property Manager

onefinestay gives you the chance to stay in someone's place while they're out of town. You get to live their life for a few days and nights.

Booking a stay is as easy as booking a hotel room. And there's service to match.

Nobody wants to be a tourist, so our homes come with recommendations from the people who live in them. For everything else, we're here 24/7.

What makes this apartment unique

Booking a stay is as easy as booking a hotel room, with online payment and confirmation. You get the same attention to detail and personal service too.

Every home is properly cleaned before and after you stay, beds made (we can even do hospital corners) and bathrooms kitted out with luxury toiletries. There’s a maid service if you want it, as well as other hotel-style amenities.

Once we’ve helped you settle in, we’re just a call away, 24/7. If it’s something we can’t solve over the phone, we’ll pop over to lend a hand.

And because nobody wants to be a tourist, our homes come with personal and unique recommendations from the people who live in them – places to eat, things to do and adventures to go on.
