Belvedere offers all the ingredients for a perfect seaside holiday: Spacious accommodation, extensive lawned gardens with direct beach access and a private swimming pool, all in an unbeatable location.

Views from this house’s pretty, elevated gardens extend out across the bay from Falmouth Maritime Museum to St Anthony’s Lighthouse and span almost 180 degrees and can be enjoyed from the exterior and interior of this wonderful property in equal measures. Of classic seventies design, much of the spacious accommodation here boasts extensive floor-to-ceiling windows to ensure that the unspoilt views continue once inside this lovely house.

Enter the grounds of Belvedere through its large gates and you are greeted by an impressive driveway flanked by lawned areas dotted with fragrant shrubs. Once inside, you are struck by the relaxed, friendly ambiance of this lovely house. Built in the seventies, much of the décor here reflects this, which simply adds to the charm of the place.

The heart of the home is its spectacular lounge. Located at the back of the house, the room has been cleverly designed to provide pockets of cosy seating, arranged to make the most of the water views from the room’s floor-to-ceiling windows.

Marvellously in keeping with its seventies heritage, a cocktail bar is provided for your entertainment, as are a Freeview TV, DVD player and Wi-Fi access. On balmy evenings, take your drinks out through the lounge’s sliding doors on to the terraced seating area overlooking the beautiful garden.

Follow the terrace round and you find Belvedere’s ‘wow’ factor: Its private pool (heated from Easter to end of September), which provides a swim with a remarkable sea view. Extending to two acres, the landscaped gardens here are laid predominantly to lawn, providing the ideal space for hide and seek and family fun outdoors. Follow the garden as it slopes gently down towards the bay and you will find gated access onto the beach; the perfect venue for a relaxed picnic on one of those days when you just don’t feel like leaving the house.

Back inside Belvedere, the ground-floor accommodation continues with a spacious kitchen/breakfast room which has been fully equipped with modern appliances including an integrated dishwasher and a large fridge/freezer. A washing machine and dryer are conveniently housed in a separate laundry room.

Meals can be enjoyed either on the garden terrace, or in the sunny dining room with table and chairs to seat ten in comfort.

The ground-floor accommodation continues with three spacious double bedrooms, all furnished with a seventies vibe using light colours and floral fabrics. The master suite is particularly impressive, with a king-size bed, dressing area and en-suite bathroom comprising bath and separate shower. The two further bedrooms are very spacious and boast fabulous views across to Falmouth bay. One double bedroom boasts its own en-suite bathroom and there is also a family bathroom located on this floor.

The remaining two bedrooms of this impressive five-bedroomed house are located upstairs, as is a small kitchenette, perfect for a late-night hot drink or early morning cup of tea. The first bedroom which has twin beds and a TV, leads to a second twin, which benefits from its own en-suite bathroom.

Bedding and towels are provided for guests’ use at Belvedere, however we do ask that you bring your own pool and beach towels.

Belvedere is an older style property with a comfortable, friendly feel in an absolutely fabulous location. Boasting all the ingredients for a perfect family seaside holiday, we just love it; and we know you will too.

Flushing is said to be one of the warmest villages in the UK because of it's sheltered aspect, between the banks of the Penryn River and Falmouth Harbour.

It became popular in the eighteenth century as the choice location for the wealthy Packet Ship captains, and was visited by Admiral Nelson. Latterly it has become one of the most sought-after locations anywhere in the West Country.

Flushing has streets lined with picture-postcard traditional terraced fisherman’s cottages, and is surrounded by beautiful unspoilt countryside. There are two great pubs serving excellent food and a cafe / bistro on the quayside.

The passenger ferry runs between Flushing and Falmouth every half hour, and there are regular boat trips available on the Helford River and the Fal Estuary.

Falmouth Bay and Mylor Yacht Harbour all within reach. Flushing has a Sailing Club that welcomes guests, and it’s own dog-friendly beach!

  • At one end of the property is a master bedroom with king-size bed, dressing area and en-suite bathroom with bath and walk in shower. There are two further bedrooms on the ground floor one with king sized bed and en-suite bathroom, the other with twin single beds and family bathroom. Two of these rooms share the incredible vista of Falmouth bay. Upstairs, the bedroom with twin single beds has views across the bay, this leads into a further twin bedroom with en-suite bathroom. This area of the house was the original housekeepers accommodation and also has a small, separate kitchenette.
